The State of Texas filed a lawsuit directly with the U.S. Supreme Court shortly before midnight on Monday challenging the election procedures in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin on the grounds that they violate the Constitution.
Texas argues that these states violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts or through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures. Additionally, Texas argues that there were differences in voting rules and procedures in different counties within the states, violating the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. Finally, Texas argues that there were “voting irregularities” in these states as a result of the above.

WTF?

This exactly the same case Rudy/Trump's team and Parnell are arguing.

I don't have the legal prowess to understand the purpose of multiple litigants arguing the same issue. Perhaps because this is a state petitioning directly to the SC? Strength in numbers? The importance of this Litigant?

No I think this is huge in a good way. It makes sense. A state that voted for Trump could feel wronged by the irregularities in illegal voting processes of another state. We are a united states of America, each state must protect its own election process from being defrauded by other states. It also since a very strong signal to the rest of America some of the states are going to friggin take it.

F rankly gator I have always said that to call this THE United States of America Is a joke. States rights is a reach, if we were united, this situation could not have taken place because the rules would have been the same. JMO.......jim

To me it brings into play the significance of the lawsuit. It isn't "just the President" but the President and the State of Texas! They may be may more states to follow - or at least should follow, but I doubt they'll be needed.

Quite honestly, I think it has been a joke... until now. You should thank President Trump because without his draining the swamp concept, none of this would have been revealed. That is why I truly believe he was "chosen" by God to root out the corruption from BOTH SIDES. I've said all along it isn't about Trump vs Biden - it's good vs evil. It's the USA vs the global governance wanting to control the world, mainly through a China-led process.

"Article III
Section 2

The Judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;—to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;—to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;—to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;—to Controversies between two or more States;..."

Probably just a way to make sure SCOTUS takes the cases. Insurance in case Gorsuch or Kavanaugh get cold feet.

Will be interesting to see if the STATE of Texas is claiming damages as a result of other states screwing up the process in their states.

I think that case could have merit and open up a big ole can of worms.

This constitutional crisis could all have been avoided if every state adhered to "one citizen, one vote", verifying the person who filled out a ballot. But no, the Democrats want no part of that process. Dead voters, fraudulent ballots, and illegal voters is their ultimate goal. Corrupt software is just the latest in their bag of tricks. This from the party that screamed Russia interfered in elections. What a bunch of tools, literally a bag of hammers.

How many governors in how many states have changed voting rules by executive action? I would guess a lot more than Wisconsin, Penn, Georgia etc. So why isn't Texas suing any states that Trump carried?
For example here is an executive order by DeSantis regarding Florida elections.
Why isn't Texas suing Florida? The whole point of the lawsuit is to challenge a governor's ability to modify voting rules as opposed to only the legislature.

Just like those Democratic states changing voting laws that affect us all on their own. It’s a joke how they attempt to steal this election. It’s the only way they could win it.

Blue, it's like I said, it would not have happened had all the states had the same laws. The way it is makes it easier to cheat if that is what is proven going forward .

I agree. These are FEDERAL elections. There should be a uniform standard for voting in federal elections. If the various states want to run banana republic-esque like elections locally, so be it. They get the local government they deserve. But in federal elections, they are screwing the rest of the country by those illegitimate standards.

What made it easier to cheat were the democrats. Mass mail out of ballots, refusing voter id laws, computer sys connected to the internet to be able to be hacked to change votes, and the list go on. All done by democrats. Gop have wanted voter ids for the longest time but apparently it’s racist. Lol

If all the states have the same laws we wouldn’t be the United States of America and we would’ve torn ourselves apart decades ago because five or six major cities with elect and control everything.

Sidney Powell, former member of Trump's all-star legal team. A complete moron....desperately trying to hold onto her 15 minutes...

The lawsuits Powell filed in Michigan and Georgia are virtually identical to ones brought earlier in Wisconsin and Arizona -- and legal experts observed that some sections appeared to be copied and pasted so hurriedly that references to the wrong state appeared in several of them.

The cases have been derided by numerous legal experts, including some Trump supporters. Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie called the legal effort a "national embarrassment." And after some of Powell's claims were ridiculed on Fox News, the president's official legal team announced that Powell was not a member of their team.

But Powell continued to pursue her cases in court and to promote her views in television appearances and on social media, as well as at a boisterous rally in Georgia last week. At one point during the Georgia rally, Powell told a whipped-up crowd that she had "extraordinary evidence" that the election was stolen from Trump.

Why won't she show anyone this "evidence"?

Dimms say it's unfair to ask minorities to obtain a photo ID to vote. Shauna had to present a photo ID to obtain her "free" Obama phone. Free? nail footed the bill.

The Dimms' real plan is voter fraud.

She has. That's why when her two cases were dismissed, neither judge dismissed the case, they just refused to overturn the state.

The sooner you sheep accept what's coming, the better for your mental health. Your party almost got away with it, but you got caught.

Especially if other states jump on board. This could be massive. But it makes sense, if one state awards its electors despite massive fvckery it invalidates another's legitimate process.

If it's considered "racist" to ask a black to show a photo ID, don't they have a driver's license? If they don't, then they need to get a photo ID. So do whites, browns, reds, yellows, and any other race color.

Agree. At the very least, the voting procedures for Federal offices should be uniform. State and local office elections can be determined by the various states.

Oh boy....
1) Gen Flynn was her 15 minutes. She didn't need this. She saw corruption and fraud and is mad. She isn't even paying her legal team yet, everything has been pro bono to this point.
2) ABC is hyper biased - and of course they have the same complaints. She's going after the "drop and roll" technique which was repeated in 5 cities. I'd like to see a source on the copy any paste, it wasn't in the hyperlinked article. I'm guessing it's not true.
3) Chris Christie is and always has been a RINO. Couldn't care less what he has to say about this.
4) Powell was never a formal part of the team, she never signed an agreement to represent Trump and she's not rec'd one dime from his campaign or his defense fund. She is self funded and her Plantiff is "We the People" of the United States. This has been addressed, and the fact you even bring it up shows you aren't even paying attention.
5) She's shown the evidence - which is why she's arguing her case in front of SC Justice Alito as I type this. SC Justices don't take up cases based on nothing, they don't have that kind of time.

Might want to stop watching CNN big guy.

I hope all of the red states that are not Ga joins the suit as this might give SCOTUS the backbone needed to throw out electors since they were unconstitutionally selected.

Article 2
Article 4 section 4
and the 14th amendment are in play
