Tennessee hiring a new coach by Monday?

A lot of people seem to be thinking Tennessee is hiring a new coach by tomorrow. Lets say for the sake of argument that is true then who do you think it will be.

I think it ends up being Greg Schiano if it really is being announced this soon.

No but the UAA probably sent Randy out to load us up on 2* and 3* specials. Hell, they may have wiffed just to hire their boy.

Current 2018 Class of 16 has 8 that are 247 4 Stars.

2017 - 10 that are 4 Stars
2016 - 9 that are 4 Stars
2015 - 2 Five Stars and 2 Four Stars
Several others among the 4 stars were 5 stars on one service or another.

Except for that 1st (2 months recruiting) class, half of their classes have been 4-5 Stars.
But just going by 247's composite, in 3 classes they brought in 21 Four Stars and 2 Five's.

Undefeated Frost/UCF only has 1 Four Star on his entire current roster, the rest are 2-3 stars.

Yep his first 2 classes were definitely not up to UF standards.

Right, Frost is just the only coach in FBS history to take a winless team to undefeated in a 2 season span, and he did it with 2-3 stars. Just like BSU leads the nation with 19 consecutive 8+ win seasons using 2-3 star recruits. It's called 'solid' coaching....

I don't need to defend anything about Mc's recruiting, it is what I posted it as, about 50% 4-5 stars after his first short timer class, and it steadily improved every single class. 2018 was #7 when he was fired, and 2019 is still #1 ranked.

What you're really saying is that the Gator's current team is filled with nothing but chitty recruits/players, making you just another FoS drama queen imo.

McElwain's problem, to me, wasn't necessarily in recruiting, although not up to the standards of Meyer. It was in player development, having ZERO passion for the job and unimaginative, predictable offensive & defensive schemes.

If there is one thing Stricklin knows its Mullen. He knows the good and bad. The problem with whoever we pick, which won’t be popular with a segment one way or another, is we won’t know who was contacted, who wasn’t, and the reasons for each
