Appleby puts a little too much on the shorter throws at times but he is showing a real nice deep ball today
As long as this defense can hold up against a sustained rushing attack we should be able to play with about anybody
We are doing fine.
And not to be that guy, but Appleby is a backup...it's not uncommon
BUT I like what I see.
We play Mizzou next week, right? I just want Appleby to prove that his Purdue days had to do with lack of talent and bad coaching.
At this point, im fine with him remaining the starter.

I think the Mac would only consider changing starters if Del Rio was out again next week and Appleby had a real good game again. He changed starters at Colorado State I think a few years back mid season.
UT is definitely playing tight. If not for the 5 dropped passes the game would be closer. Tabor needs to play better IMO. Seems like he's doing like Hargreaves did last year - thinking more about the draft and less about doing his job on the field. Defense is definitely playing well. Hope we can score before they do in the 2nd half and not let them back in the game. Agree that Appleby is playing extremely well and the playcalling today, so far, has been really good.
The same kind of play calling you saw doe the previous regime. Get a lead and run, run, run, run. We've attempted two passes this half. Pathetic.
