Sort of, in the 2nd half our first 5 offensive possessions were 3 and out. We changed the play calling at half time and went very conservative. Tenn got the Mo and rode it....

I don't disagree that our offense didn't go a great job in the 2nd half but if you would have told me that we scored 28 points in this game before hand, I would have bet $100 that we win.
Agreed, plus I think Appleby was close to 300 yards passing. With the exception of the 1 pick, he played very well.

the funny part is like me and paco said many times, even if we lost to them they will still lose at least 2 games in this stretch coming up. For sure against A&M and Bama, they will lose those games for sure. They have no idea how to deal with success and no one will gag for them again like today in their lives. With how bad Vandy and LSU's offenses are there's no reason why we can't beat.
Yep if we can keep it to 2 SEC losses and get a 3 way tie it might get interesting. I haven't looked at Georgia's schedule but they would have to beat Tenn probably to stay at 2 SEC losses.
UT is a mediocre team. If we can't hold a 21 point last vs that shit show thete is no way we lose less than 4 games.....at best

We had 21 at the half. You cannot keep having 3 and outs and have your D on the field the entire second half. Doesn't work. And the last score came down 17 with 4 minutes to go when they gave us everything under ten yards. That drive took almost 5 minutes. Nuss is a moron, plain and simple
Well it did work against the crappy teams last season. Our defense held after the offense did nothing for a bunch of drives straight unlike today. I will have to look but did we give up a bunch of scores to FSU and Bama on just 3 and 4 play drives last season.

You do realize how bad we've been as team don't you? I'm pretty sure that you do...yet you like to take the stats that promote this idea that Nuss is such a bad coach...these guys have been making chicken salad out of chicken chit. I don't disagree that we can't have any first downs, in the second half, until our TD drive at the end...but we lost this game because our defense gave up 38 points. Also it isn't Nuss's fault that in the 1st half out O Line was dominate and then in the 2nd half they couldn't block anyone or give any protection...no I'm sorry players have to execute too and catch balls when they are open. You look for any opportunity to come on here an dog Nuss out, and for what...it's really silly....he called a good game...players gave this game up and honestly Dobbs played a great game too...he was very accurate with the ball yesterday..if the TN WR's could have caught the ball in the 1st half the score would have been a lot closer going into halftime. In the 2nd half we got handled at the line of scrimmage.
