Words being used to shame, mock, and control society. What are some words being used to control the massesI will start.

Racist, Conspiracy, conspiracy theorist, fascist, sedition, insurrection, threat to society.

It seems the country to the north is following in the footsteps of their democrat scumbag brethren here, and using sedition and insurrection to try and stem the tide.

If you didn't read @instaGATOR's post in the other thread about how the dems divide the country into two parts on all issues then pit them against each other, it's really good.

Basically, this has been going on for decades, and over the last 20 years, half the country has begun to wake up.

Let's just look at this from the Republican side: We elected Dubya in 2000 and re-elected him in 2004. He was running against Gore then Kerry, so I think most of us felt Dubya was a solid improvement.

But in many ways, Dubya acted like a dem, especially when it came to spending. It was like we thought we were voting for a solid conservative, and instead got a right-leaning moderate. So those 8 years kinda left a bad feeling in our mouths.

Then came the 2008 presidential elections. obama was the hardcore libber. So it was easy to pick McCain, but again, he wasn't what we really wanted. His main appeal was he wasn't obama. But his pick of Sarah Palin, now THAT excited a lot of Republicans, but it seemed like she was put on the backburner after being added to the ticket.

So we had a guy that we weren't thrilled with running against a very charismatic dem. Plus he was black and dems played the race card so it was an easy win. dems had a guy they loved, we had a guy that.....well he wasn't their guy.

Then when obama took office the republicans immediately began driving home the message to its voters that they needed our help! Give us the House and we can stand in the way of obama and stop him from destroying America!

Ok! Republicans could rally around that, so the 2010 midterms were a bloodbath for the dems. We easily gave the republicans the House, and now they could stop obama!

Only....they didn't. Nothing changed. Republicans are beginning to scratch their heads at this point and begin to wonder if something was going on here...

2012 elections come around, we gotta stop obama! So the pubs nominate.....a guy that was only marginally more exciting than mccain. We again went to vote for a guy who's main selling point was 'at least he's not obama'.

So obama wins again and again pubs are deflated. Then the republicans sound the alarm again: We have the House, now give us the Senate in 2014 and we will CONTROL CONGRESS! We will have the power to totally stop obama!

Ok! Again the republican voters rallied around the cry, and again the midterms were a beatdown for the dems. The pubs took the Senate and now had total control of Congress.

And they did exactly shit with it.

So we come to the 2016 election and the pubs try to rally us again: Ok! Give us the White House, then we will have total control of Congress AND the White House! We can completely move forward on the conservative agenda that will save America! And the man to lead us there is.....JEB BUSH!

This was the point at which most of the republican voters FINALLY woke up. Thankfully, just as we woke up, Donaldus Magnus decided to run. It was absolute perfection. Trump promised to run on the very platform WE wanted. The same platform republicans had told us for 20 years they would run on and accomplish, but never did.

Trump ran on it, he won on it. Then he got to work FULFILLING those campaign promises. OUR campaign promises.

And the republicans, the same republicans we had bent over backwards to support for 20 years, did everything they could to stop him.

That was the final wake up call for almost every Republican voter. For years, we had labored under the false illusion that there were two major political parties in this nation: The Democrats, and the Republicans.

When we saw how the republicans shit on Trump, the guy that was working in OUR BEST INTERESTS, well it was like the final scene from Animal Farm, where the animals watched the men and pigs arguing, and realized they could no longer tell them apart.

That was the wakeup call for the right. There aren't two political parties in this country. There is the democratic party. Some of its members just run as and label themselves as Republicans.

Hopefully, the dem voters will, in the coming years, wake up as we have. Hopefully they will see how they are being hoodwinked, just as we were hoodwinked.

When everyone is awake, then we can work TOGETHER to take back our country.

Yes sir. You nailed it. Read @instaGATOR post as well and it was nails as well.

Thank you. Let's hope we take our new-found knowledge and apply it to electing far better candidates from now on.

"Well at least he's not a democrat" is basically voting for a democrat running as something else. Hope we all understand that now.
Repubs are not waking up fast enough. McConnell has basically done nothing for Repubs, but he still gets reelected everytime.

And will continue to do so…. As there’s no alternative, he is and always will be better than a Dem

and the only reason Trump appointed 3 in lieu of 2 judges was due to McConnell

To be fair, he hammered through a ton of Trump's judges.

On the other hand, he only did that cause he knew if he didn't, Trump would turn on him and he could very well lose re-election without Trump's endorsement.

Notice as soon as Mitch won re-election, he immediately turned on Trump, cause he didn't need him anymore.

And notice there's been several of the lifers on the pub side who have retired the last few years. Many a bit earlier than they wanted to. Almost to a man, all of them opposed Trump and knew they couldn't win another term with that hanging over them.

Will be surprised if McConnell runs again, for that very reason.

Which is how we keep getting republicans running who are only marginally better than dems. They get to DC and do nothing, which we tell ourselves is better than the dems getting to DC and doing something.

And it probably is. But we need to stop settling for candidates who are only marginally better than dems. That's putting the bar to clear on the ground.

You come to KY and take McConnell and his war chest on - primary his azz and see the result

I’ll say one more thing about Mitch…. He is THE right Republican at the right damn time. You think holding EVERY DAMNED ‘PUB SENATOR IN LINE when the numbers are crucial to the last vote is just accepted??

That is a frigging FEAT of diplomacy and negotiation, and avoiding pissing prima donnas off…. Think of trying to keep that Phucktard grand standing Romney in line! And Murkowski.

Jeez guys, the dam is almost ready to burst from the immense pressure of Dem socialism, and he’s held the phucking line….. he deserves praise until we finally can flip the script at election time

Trump is out of town, so everyone is back on the same team again. Everyone is back to crafting their messages to voters.

McConnell is the master politician, able to hold the party together.

Guys like mittens, Murkowski and Collins are back to being the thoughtful and considerate politicians who put country over party and do what's ultimately best for America.

It's all a scam. There is no line to hold. There is no democratic vs republican party.

It's us vs them. The sooner we all realize that, the better.
