I know many posters only care about football and to a lesser extent basketball. But some of us are fans of all Gator athletics. Our soccer team won the SEC regular season and tournament titles, was ranked #5 in the nation and was a #2 seed in the NCAA tournament. But they were upset today, at home, 2-1 by #20 Duke in the Sweet 16. Good year for these girls, but another disappointing end to the season. The volleyball team went into the season ranked in the Top 3 nationally and is loaded with talent. But after going undefeated in the SEC last year, they finished the SEC schedule today with a 5 set loss at Texas A&M, after being up 2-0. They finished 13-5 in conference, and are 21-6 overall with 1 match left before tournament selection. They will finish 3rd or 4th in the SEC, but Top 6-7 nationally in RPI. They could get it going in the tournament, but overall this has been a disappointing year for a volleyball team that was supposed to be a national title contender this year.
