My criminal record contains one instance, a misdemeanor DUI. I spent three and a half days in jail because nobody answered my phone call and I didn't have any money. And they charge you thirty dollars a day to be in jail, plus my car was in impound for three days. If I didn't have good Marines to lean on, I would have spent three weeks in jail waiting for my trial, AND I would have lost my car. Once I was sober, exactly what threat did I pose to the community?
