Serbian School Shooting

They are inanimate objects.

Warmists believe that gas-powered cars are killing machines too, they just think they are destroying the planet.

You think banning all guns will stop all shootings. Warmists believe banning all gas-powered cars will save the planet.

You ask us to acknowledge they are frequently misused...what you cannot acknowledge is if you remove the guns, we will still have people out there who will find other killing machines and FREQUENTLY MISUSE THEM.

Just like the warmist cannot acknowledge that EVs end up using fossil fuels just like gas-powered cars do.

You guys let your emotions override logic and common sense. And the left preys on that.

If we followed your logic, we would actually end up with MORE gun deaths.

If we followed warmist logic, we would actually do MORE harm to the planet.

You guys end up hurting the problem you think you are solving. It is what it is.
Is that what the gun companies directed you to say?

"Never acknowledge guns are dangerous. Just keep pushing the 'inanimate object' mantra."

Is that what the gun companies directed you to say?
No, but I think that's what you parrot to deflect from logic that you don't want to hear.

This is an emotional issue for you. You will die scared to death of guns. I feel quite sorry for you in that regard.

We certainly do. We can absolutely agree on this point and that we should take action to prevent those people from being able to touch a gun.
Should we crack down on criminals and other dangerous people? Absolutely.

Will that immediately end crime? Of course not but it will help the situation over time.

Same thing with killing machines.

Same thing with killing machines.

But those killing machines are protected by the second line item in the bill of rights.

We can do stuff. We can get better at being safer. We cannot disarm the American public. It isn't possible and it would be wrong.

Right. So we throw common sense out the window.

I don't care how many people are getting gunned down every day, the second amendment says "shall not be infringed".

Right. So we throw common sense out the window.

I don't care how many people are getting gunned down every day, the second amendment says "shall not be infringed".
So you think the solution here is to eliminate all guns, along with the US Constitution?

You skipped right over...

We can do stuff. We can get better at being safer.

I can just start lobbing mindless tropes back at you if you think that's a better approach.

You also ignored where I said that I believe that your attempt to rid people of guns will be fruitless. You can't do it. So it's both wrong and impossible to do what you are saying.

We can do things to make gun ownership safer but we MUST also focus on the bad people that use the guns to harm others unlawfully.

Do yourself a favor. Search my posts and find somewhere I've suggested eliminating all guns.

Just eliminate that angle of attack so you won't look so brainwashed.

From earlier in this very thread:

I have no specific plan. I don't need one.....it's not my job.

I want to radically reduce the number of guns in America. I don't really care, within reason, how it's done.

Ok, so your plan is to 'radically reduce the number of guns in America', and eliminate the US Constitution?

Right. And you're somehow getting 'eliminate all guns' out of that.

Maybe get someone you trust to read it to you.
I can quote it to you again if you like:

So you clarified: You don't want to remove 100% of guns from society, just 95%. Totally different meaning.

Oh and eliminate the US Constitution. Totally reasonable plan.

I think 50% would make a significant difference but more would be a nice bonus for decent Americans.

And what happens if you remove 50% of the gun supply, and in the process 100% of the guns law-abiding citizens own?

Does that increase or decrease gun violence?

Does eliminating the US Constitution increase or decrease gun violence?
You mean if we accidentally totally disarm law-abiding citizens? Did the gun companies tell you that was something to fear?

Did they also tell you that people in favor of common sense gun laws want to eliminate the constitution?

You really need to start taking what the gun companies say with a grain of salt.

You told me you want to eliminate 50% of guns.

What's your plan for ensuring that those guns are taken from criminals and not law-abiding citizens?

You are as stubborn on this topic as Fever is on DeSantis.

You aren't seeking a rational conversation.

Theo, my goal is to change a behavior. Yours is to take away guns.

That's a rather stark difference, wouldn't you say?

You're only solution is to "take away as many guns as feasibly possible...but we're in the cult?
You’re in a cult because your ability to think on your own has been taken away by the gun companies. You can only believe what supports their interests.

Says the guy whose only goal is to take away as many guns as possible.

No real mention of changes in behavior or actions...just give me them-there guns!!!

Is that the 53rd or 54th time you have posted that today?

Is repeating the same points over and over again a sign of being in a cult?

If you change behavior, the guns are irrelevant.
Well, if you take away all guns there would be no gun violence.

The rational adult response would be to attack both issues....criminal behavior and the flood of guns.

But left wing extremists don't want to go after criminals and right wing extremists don't want to go after guns.
