The SEC is hand's down the best and deepest conference... and it's not even close.

The BIG10 (with 18 teams) will inevitably have a team or two every year that could "compete" in the SEC... this year's its OSU and Oregon... but the other 15 or so teams are just cannon fodder for those top teams. It's an extremely top-heavy league.

Hell, look at the #3 team in that league yesterday. They lost by about 20+ to Ohio State and it was never close.

The Big 2 and 16 pretenders.

🥱😴

The SEC, on the other hand, is loaded.

EVERY DAMN conference game is a war... no matter who you're playing.

CASE IN POINT:

At noon yesterday, ALABAMA and OLE MISS and TEXAS A&M all had legitimate national championship routes through the playoffs.

By midnight, they had all three been beaten by SEC teams who were 5-5, 5-5 and 4-6.

Let's be real: The 12-team playoff format is NOT going to include the 12 best teams in college football.

Boise State beat a 2-8 Wyoming team by 3. And Army got demolished. The "at-large" spot is going to be a joke.

The Big12 isn't much better. Colorado and BYU are pathetic... so maybe Arizona State will get in? Regardless, they would be 4-7 if they had played a full SEC schedule this season. So that's another joke spot.

There's no guarantee that the SEC will get 4 teams in every season. That's just wrong.

IN REALITY... the SEC should get SIX teams in every year if we're really trying to find the best champion.

It just means more in the SEC.
