Cam Newton was where it became a 100% total joke I think. That showed if you just told the NCAA you aren't answering anything they were toothless. The SEC office was a joke with how they never did anything about certain teams but when it came to UF on some stuff that wasn't even that big they were literally trying to do the NCAAs job for them to nail us.

I think UT is still on reduced schollies due to Pruitts ineffective cheating. We owned it and took our punishment. There is a post on a UT forum titled " We cant even cheat well" from 2020 about Pruitt. With his 100M lawsuit that thread has gotten new life.

NCAA came after UT over Nico and a plane ride. The UT admin and our state AG took them to court and smacked that @ss.

I doubt any school will hire deboer if he doesn't get better soon. Sad thing is if Bama bounces back this year it will likely be because of Grubb, and he will leave for a HC job at the end of the season.

The NCAA owes SMU an apology and IMHO reparations. Why? One word: Alabama. When you look up the word hypocrisy the example given is a Bama fan accusing others of cheating. Its like a mafia hitman yelling at the cops because he saw someone run a stop sign.

They owe more than SMU for reparations as well. Those assholes indirectly led Charlie Pell to commit suicide. And Pell didn't directly have a damned thing to do with any of that. The NCAA can go straight to hell as far as I am concerned.

I'm hating Pearl for this week and not afterward until next year. I've never disliked the guy ever, even when he was employed with Junior and Lulu. I only hated him on game day, nothing more. Yeah that incident after hiring Greg Schiano was bizarre and the students protesting seemed like it was more than the fact he was an assistant under Joe Paterno. Schiano wasn't even close to the drama that happened after Tinerc reneged on their deal with him.

LOL what rivals believe from the rumor mill. As a fan I was sick at my stomach that Schiano was even considered. Yes it was because of working for Paterno during the time of the pederasty. Guilty before proven? Yes. But none of us wanted to be around a hint of that perverted sick disgusting mess.

The time between Fulmer taking over as AD and the Pruitt hire was too short to vet 12 HC candidates. Pruitt was believed to be a defensive genius at the time. Fulmer and conventional wisdom were both wrong. The hire looked good on paper but was a disaster. Fulmer is VFL and would not intentionally harm UT.

BTW Fulmer is a meticulous planner and highly organized according to those that worked with him before he became a HC.

Lessons for me? Don't hire from Clemson (Hamilton.) Don't hire a Bammer. Make sure the President, Chancellor and AD all work to make FB a top priority at UTK. That was not the case from Hamilton and before Plowman.

The president was focused on the other schools in the system and not the flagship. The chancellor was only concerned with academics. Hamilton was focused on facilities. A 100M+ enterprise was allowed to twist in the wind with subpar hires. Multiple billionaire donors and our coaches have been paid on the cheap compared to our rivals.

Early we were a top NIL program but are possibly now middle of the pack. OSU is number one in NIL and also the NC. Truth be told Tex should be the dynasty that Bama was as they have the most money of anyone in college FB.

Since the Plowman White duo have arrived UT has excelled in all the major sports.

Pruitt IS a defensive genius, he just has no business being HC. Same thing applies to Muschamp. Pruitt and Muschamp are two of the best DCs college football has seen over he last 25 years, and both tried to be something they are not, head coaches. The irony is, both were much better DCs than Kirby, but Kirby is clearly a better HC. Coaches let their egos get in their way, too often. If Pruitt and Muschamp had both been happy being elite DCs, both would have that role at a major college today and both would likely be making around $3 million.
