SEC Basketball Tournament Thread.

It is pretty astonishing that they chose to end regulation last night exactly the same way they ended the game against the exact same team a week ago and got beat...

Vandy has sure wrecked our resume quite a bit.
Going by the just updated NCAA official RPI rankings (not the inaccurate ESPN one earlier) this is where we stand it appears. Georgia falling out of the top 50 hurt us also.
1-4 against the Top 25 RPI
6-8 against the top 50 RPI
Arkansas would move into the top 25 RPI with a win over Vandy and if Creighton loses to Villanova according to the calculator so if Arkansas does that 3-4 against the top 25 would look a lot better but not sure if that would be enough for them to give us a 4 seed or not depending on what other teams do.

I think pretty much everyone would have taken a 5 seed in the tourney to start the year. And we lost our second most important player and our only big man a month ago. I don't really get all the pearl clutching but to each his own. Team is fully capable of winning a few tourney games and if we do the season is a success.
If barry is really that hurt and can't contribute, i don't expect anything next week. Allen and him have to do everything to win for this team, when was the last time a big caught the ball in the post and turned around and scored? It's had to been months or since egbunu was playing

Kentucky is done in round 2.. them playing any team that can shoot the 3 ball will have his face looking hilarious... If vandy or arkansas keeps shooting like they have been they will be done tomorrow
dickie v just literally said the production crew was nervous about bama winning because of ratings and ticket sales for the game tomorrow lol... then they made sure uk shot FT's and and 1's the next 11 possessions in a row... They scored TWO FG's in the last 7 minutes or more, they don't even have to play basketball to win. lol at these frauds

Lunardi now has us a 5 seed playing in the Midwest bracket in Milwaukee while he has Iowa State the 5 seed in the East bracket playing in Orlando. I don't see them doing something like that even if it did mean we would play FSU in the 2nd game.

Kentucky is getting nearly every call in this Final against Arky. SEC officiating is embarrassing.
Give us the 5 seed in the East - FSU be damned if they are the 4 seed there. FSU isn't in our conference so it shouldn't matter if we are the 4/5 seeds in the same region.
Edit: Some people say the committee tries to avoid rematches early when possible also. I didn't know about that.

It really is. I am too lazy to go back and look, but I am going to guess that UK is called for fewer fouls in nearly every SEC game that they play. Even adjusting for fouls at the end of games
I felt like they would at least make the Dance in Mike's 2nd year. Done.
I didn't feel like they could go any further than maybe the 16. Maybe.
