Maybe it's because there is so much time to prepare for game 1 that the defenses have an advantage but look at yesterday's games ... some really bad offense. Here are the teams ranked by total offense with yards per play:

- Vandy - 242 yds, 3.7 yds/play (USC)
- LSU - 257, 5.1 (Wisc) - (LSU only ran 50 plays)
- Auburn - 262, 3.7 (Clemson)
- Arkansas - 297, 4.3 (LA Tech)
- USC - 308, 5.0 (Vandy)
- Tenn - 319, 4.4 (App St)
- Florida - 363, 5.0 (UMass)
- Miss St. - 382, 5.9 (South Alabama)
- Kentucky - 409, 8.2 (So. Miss.) - (KY only ran 50 plays)
- Texas A&M - 442, 5.3 (UCLA)
- Mizzou - 462, 4.6 (West Virginia) - (Mizzou ran 100 plays)
- Bama - 465, 7.4 (USCw)
- UGA - 474, 6.6 (UNC)

Some notes: Muschamp's offense equaled our yards per play despite playing against a much better defense. Amazing that LSU and KY only ran 50 plays and that Mizzou ran 100 but only scored 11. Appears UGA will completely lean on Chubb this year (he had 32 carries). KY gave up 520 yards and 44 points to So. Miss. despite the So. Miss. QB throwing 3 picks. Will be interesting to see what our offense does next week.
