he also tried to back out of the scheduled Oklahoma game without knowledge of his AD
AD didn't even know about it
his AD took the heat for scooter and in return got fired
the guy is a coward of the highest magnitude
can you imagine being a player on that team or a prospective recruit and knowing that your head coach was actively plotting behind the ADs back to weasel out of a marquee game presumably because he was too embarrassed to run out onto the field with you ... he was actively conspiring to deny his players the chance to shine on a huge national stage against OU
and then to cowardly let the AD go out there to take your bullets is nothing short of disgraceful

they were secretly meeting at a farm outside of lincoln and holding full practices with coaches, etc
not just a few guys deciding to meet up and a coach just happening to be nearby observing
Certainly practicing in a barn will help Nebraska against Ohio State….lol…what a story…
