Scientists working on a drug that lets you live for 200 years...?

"The SPICE must flow...." 😉

Yeah, HOW is what I want to know. Do I take a blow torch to my head or something????

Just take fire to a bald spot and increase exposure time until it makes hair sprout out weeks later. You need to start at enough exposure to cause scabbing but not go too far to destroy the skin entirely. My guess is the fire damage brought the long dormant follicles back to life. Maybe the same concept as how microneedling can bring more recently dormant follicles back to producing hair.

Aside from the moral issues and technical challenges...do you think this is something they would allow for the masses? Of course not. This will be restricted for our elite, dear leaders, so we can enjoy many decades of their graceful and insightful leadership.

I know where you’re going but I think if you put your hand in the fire you will know where I am.

That fire is hot???

You're saying that there is science that mankind believes we fully understand. I'm saying that science is never settled.

These two things are not mutually exclusive.

Science is the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. We don't understand everything yet...and we never will. Unless we do, science will never be settled. I've never met, or heard of, a scientist that disagrees with the above.

This post should come with a disclosure. 😂

Hey, people have managed to sue and win against McDonald's because they dumped hot coffee on themself and claimed they didn't know it was hot. Now MikeyDs has a warning on the cup that its hot.

There aren't two different "sciences," as you imply, and there's no such thing as settled science.

There are some areas of science that we are extremely confident that we understand. That doesn’t imply that science is settled.

The position that you are taking is more political than scientific.

I agree that fire is hot. How does that settle science?

LOL, ok lets try this a different way, walk to the edge of the earth, jump off land gently and light a match and see if its hot. is this better?

You are trying to argue logic with dems.

Dems are beholden to their politics. So for them, the science is settled.....if that's what their politics tells them.

The science was settled in 2020: Gotta get the covid shot to keep from getting covid.

In 2022 the science was settled: The covid shot MAY help you AVOID going to the hospital. We never said it would keep you from getting covid.

When dems say 'The science is settled' what they really mean is 'The politics are settled'.

Spot on. Ironically he knows very well that science isn't ever settled. He's making the political point that you are referring to in spite of that knowledge.

Yep it was documented with pictures in a medical journal back in the late 80s. The guy got drunk and passed out and fell into coal flames for a bit. The smooth bald front of his head scabbed up pretty good and then 2 weeks later hair sprouted up and 4 months later was filled in. Surprised some rich baldies haven't experimented with that.
Wait, what? 😂 I missed a lot yesterday. Not saying that didn't happen but if true, wouldn't dermatologists just do that procedure in a controlled environment with lasers instead?

it means some is, thats why there is settled science and science!!!

BTW, the science on fire has been "settled" for a long time. We've studied it for eons.

In 1879, we discovered plasma. That discovery unsettled the science around fire. Are you absolutely certain that we won't ever discover anything about fire, gravity or the shape of our planet that will redefine our understanding of it?

Of course you aren't. No one is.

Not sure about fire, but there are studies in reputable medical journals showing the benefits of red light therapy for the treatment of hair loss, among other health benefits.

lol, i am sure we will learn much more science is amazing. but the earth is round gravity exists and fire is hot, thats settled. will the earth self destruct from climate change? thats far from settled.

This thread has steadily declined into complete garbage, so throw it out the window. After it settles to the ground due to gravity, then light it on fire to end it....
