Saturday's game against South Carolina may end up being a season defining game for Florida as far as the Big Dance is concerned and how Mike White is perceived by the Gators fan base in the near future.

Florida is currently in the 10-12 seed range depending on who's Bracketology you are looking at. Getting to 20 wins on the season, 10 in the SEC might be key in determining Florida's post season fate.

South Carolina is liked by the polls more so than the computers because they have 23 wins (mostly because they played one of the worst OOC schedules from a Power Five Conference School). A Gators win, which is very doable, should impress the humans who make up the selection committee.

I think it also will go a long way in helping form an opinion of White. If this team, with so much on the line, comes out and plays the first half like they did on the road against Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Vanderbilt - then I think you can legitimately question his ability to get his team up for a (road) game.

Everything is on the line this Saturday. A win could go a long way toward helping seal the deal as far as a bid to the tournament. A loss, especially one where Florida sleepwalks through the first half, and who knows where this team ends up.
