He was a great actor. Little Bill was an asshole. When an actor can make you hate every fiber of their existence just based on their acting in character, you have achieved the pinnacle of acting. It's a lot different achieving that vs being a hero. Not sure people can understand that.
In the best actors embrace those rules because they are a true challenge and fun for them. And Hackman was excellent at both being the hero and the villain.

This really isn't that surprising if it went down with that. You get a person with dementia, wife could die, the dog starves, then the dementia patient finally expires. I lived this when my parents hit 90 years old plus. It's sad, but it happens. I don't think it's any kind of conspiracy theory.
She did die a lot younger than he did, but sometimes people die from a broken heart dealing with their loved one no longer being coherent or having any cognizance. I'm just guessing she was way younger than Gene, she was an attractive woman.
They just confirmed that she actually died of Hanti virus and that she died several days before Hackman died. Hackman had such severe dementia that he probably didn’t even know what was going on. Kind of a sad situation.
