One of the greatest actors of all time. And a Marine.

Personal favorites:
Bite the bullet
Unforgiven
The French connection
And of course……. Hoosiers.

Honorable mention for the Royal Tenenbaums

Yep he was a great actor and it was probably time for him to go at that age and how frail he looked. The circumstances sound kind of strange. Like either his wife killed herself possibly after he passed or she died before him possibly. She was much younger in her 60s also.

I guess it could be carbon monoxide but with a front door open and another dog alive (if accurate) it is some strange circumstances. I wonder if they can tell for sure if they have been dead for weeks. I would hate to hear she died before him and he was in a situation where he couldn't contact anyone.

Wow, sorry to hear. Not for his role in it but “No way out” was one of my favorite movies he did with Kostner. Maybe Will Patton’s best role I’ve seen him in as well.

He was a great actor. Little Bill was an asshole. When an actor can make you hate every fiber of their existence just based on their acting in character, you have achieved the pinnacle of acting. It's a lot different achieving that vs being a hero. Not sure people can understand that.
In the best actors embrace those rules because they are a true challenge and fun for them. And Hackman was excellent at both being the hero and the villain.
