Recruiting Thread

the deal florida gave muschamp in his buyout is not unusual either. auburn is still paying chizik his 10 million dollar buyout and now he is the defensive coordinator at north Carolina and free to recruit against auburn

I don't see him poaching anyone else's recruits. Yeah it's part of the game, but he's specifically just going after everyone on our board, even the guys he didn't recruit one bit while he was here such as Horton.

If he was spreading it around and stealing from everyone that'd be one thing.

You had no problem with him bringing up us not having an IPF to recruits until he could no longer deny that it was being taken care of. He knew it was a done deal when he was pitching that to recruits. dirty imo

Muschamp has now replaced Urban in the hate section of my heart. I don't have enough room to hate both so now I will just focus my rooting efforts against Auburn. Plus I had this weird twinge of happiness when Urban held up the trophy. Maybe bc I was picturing him in gator gear. Sad but true. Anyways, hope Auburn goes down in flames these next few years
 
We are down to 60 again on Rivals - but a long time to go and they aren't counting Callaway yet.
 
If y'all got fired by some company and you had the chance to put the screws to them, you wouldn't? If GA fired Richt and we hired him and he 'stole' a bunch of GA recruits, we would think he was a bad person?

We got ourselves into a bad position and we're going to have to work our way out of it. This (Muschamp) shouldn't be a factor next year.

Not when that company is paying me millions to leave, it's petty. Particularly since he got way more time than he should have been given and sent him out with all the love and adulation in the world. I got no problems with him going after guys like Cowart, Jefferson, Davis, etc. Those are all elite guys that any school would love to have. But what's the reasoning for offering low ranked prospects that we're offering just because? Guys Auburn had no room for as we're seeing now? He's a female. He did the passive aggressive blame the fans BS while he was here and now that he's replaced he's acting like a jilted lover. Eff him.
 
I mean this guy is literally responsible for a good majority of some of the worse records in the history of the program. Everything from going 4-8, losing to an FCS team, going scoreless for a half in consecutive games, ending the 30 year bowl streak, etc. and yet he was still given a graceful exit. He was treated 10x better than Zook was for example. Exactly what reason does he have to stick it to the university? When the whole world knew his time was up he was still given an extra year. If anybody should be holding a grudge it should be the fans who had to watch his trash brand of football for 4 years.

it is not just muschamp or even trob. auburn also recently hired bamas linebacker coach under saban.. he recruited parts of florida, and he was their lead recruiter for cowart, Jefferson, and Jeffrey Holland before taking the Auburn job

I'd rather have the #60 class with no Muchamp than a top 10 class with him as our head coach.

I think that's how we have to look at it. He crashed the program into the ground two years ago then got another year to let things rust. Our new staff has their work cut out for them.

Safe to say all of the ones so far are choosing the coach, not the school. I wonder if they have discussed with him who the DC will be when they are juniors?

Next year's class will be much more telling. I don't think this is a one year fix. I have faith that with good coaching we will be headed in the right direction regardless of how this class shakes out

Top 5 next season probably - Muschamp left us in a bad position for this class.
