Recruiting Thread

Perhaps we can have a recruiting thread that is not full of cut and paste articles violating the terms of service or full of non-stop Muschamp bashing? I'm all for it!

I am not a huge recruiting follower, but I do feel we will get some nice surprises, and we will get more flips in our favor than we are used to as of late. We will have maybe a top 20 class, which is awesome at this point, and CJM will stabilize the roster.

I would like that as well, I don't contribute much to conversations but like to have an idea of what's going on. I have asked in an email to Mark Wheeler how to access a Alligator Alley. Is it just the premium site, does it matter if I pay monthly. I just want to know so if anyone has this info and could share if there is a difference, that would be Great. I'm excited for NSD and tired of checking Twitter for my info.

If we finish top 20 NOBODY should complain. McElwain was handed a class with 7 commits and a few weeks to not only build relationships, but get guys who could be a potential fit all the while putting a staff together. What he was handed was/is unprecedented.

My Auburn sources still claim that Cowart, CeCe and likely Ivey are Auburn locks according to a conversation Saturday with TRob.

If Florida does manage to get them, this class will be the greatest coupe of all time, especially considering the circumstances.

Also, if Auburn doesn't get all 3, Danny gets to drink for free all night...so there's that.

Hopefully between Tuesday and Wednesday Cowart and CeCe realize what they know deep down and have always known, that they want to be at UF. Ivey I think already knows that and will be a Gator.

I'll be a little surprised if we don't get Ivey, but I think we're running a decent third behind Auburn and Ole Miss for Cowart.

CeCe seems Auburn to me (im pretty sure i met him at the bar while I was working and when they brought up me being a Florida fan, he acted a bit awkward)

Scarlett helps us in a BIG way. We have the momentum. All Auburn has for these kids is promises they cannot necessarily back up. NOBODY can say where Muschamp will be coaching next year, or even next month for that matter if the NFL comes calling. At UF they can play for their childhood team, they WILL get their exposure for the NFL, and they can be guaranteed they will be playing for the same set of coaches at least for the next 3 years.

Cowart is down to UF & Auburn. It is CeCe that has Ole Miss & Bama on his short list.

Supposedly him and Scarlett are good friends....guess we shall see just how good...

Now we're up to 55th class. Right behind UK and Vandy who are 50 and 51. One more recruit and we're not dead last any longer! Michigan sitting pretty at #82.

Pretty A-smegging-mazing to think that a week ago we were ranked the 99th class in the country per rival's recruiting rankings.

Just briefly glancing at the list, we have a single LB who is not too highly regarded so far. I know LB was expected to be thin for us this year as well, so is there any chance we're looking at anyone else that I'm not aware of to help with this? Aside from any or all of those big name guys we've been going after for a year now, we could do with a QB, a WR, and a couple LB I would think at this point. Just from a needs perspective. Others may be far more in the know on how this stuff works and what we really need though.

In any event we seem to be getting our numbers up.
