1. Flashbacks of 2013 with Franks’ injury

2. Good job Trask

3. Much respect to Kentucky

4. Another cardiac game.

5. Sigh........

We won in spite of Mullen. Happy for Trask and the players. They played hard and stole a game when their coach was doing everything in his power to lose it. The media needs to grill him hard after this BS.

Our coaches on both sides were horrible tonight. Even Grease asked why is Florida playing soft zone?

Mullen had 1 good play call the entire game. The jet sweep to Hammond

Yep he was garbage in every way. Dumb play calls, chasing points that would have lost his team the game, costing his team valuable time not using timeouts the whole nine. The players won in spite of him tonight. Same dumb shit in the Miami game trying to be cute and almost losing the team the game. There are huge red flags going off for me with him right now.

What's up with our D going all soft serve tonight? Were we trying to protect the freshman in the secondary? Very little blitzing.

I’m more upset with Grantham then Mullen. Mullen didn’t do good but he does get some props for having a backup QB ready to play

Hate to break the news to anybody hating, but...good coaching won that game...

Uh yea...no they weren't. Franks was carving them up passing too, our stubborn ass head coach just refused to stop running into a wall of defenders all night. We finally got down and it forced him to abandon his stupid run plays into 8 man boxes. He didn't have a choice but to throw almost every down with us trailing by two scores. And then his shitty play calls chasing points would have lost the team the game if UK could make a simple kick. Mullen was awful. The team won in spite of him.

Two sides to the story. As good as Franks looks at time, he cannot get the offense into rhythm. He had more passing yards and a TD, yet Trask identified Jefferson as the hot route, mixed it enough to be effective, and led the team to victory despite throwing no TDs.

This has been the biggest thing about Franks- he cannot establish a rhythm for the offense. We have 6 upperclassmen WRs who cannot establish themselves as legit threats because of this. SOS would’ve killed for WRs like Jefferson, Grimes, and Cleveland.

Trask still green but I saw good flashes.

All credit to Trask but UK was also being very conservative on defense. They were content to sit in soft coverage and watch us dink and dunk down the field with them up two scores and it cost them. We're not gonna see that soft coverage against other teams. And UK's secondary isn't very good either, Franks was killing them before he got injured too. We aren't gonna be able to line up and throw the ball like that against many teams. Especially if this coach insists on wasting downs running into 8 man boxes leaving us in 3rd and long repeatedly.

Yea, that's players being pissed their QB was injured and playing for each other. The whole mood of the game changed at that point. You're missing the reason we were even in that position to have to come from behind from begin with was because of shit coaching. The same shit coaching that almost lost of the game stupidly chasing points instead of simply kicking the extra point. It's basic math. Kentucky makes that kick and your outlook is different and we've have lost 100% due to coaching decisions.

I wonder if both QB's will play next week. We had to throw in this game and Trask is the thrower, but Jones is the runner and Mullen likes the runners. Well, we will see.

Was glad UT nutted up today. They were frustrated, and took their frustrations out on a little school. Now they can smoke a cigarette and relax. Then on Saturday they can come to UF and get spanked, the way God intended.

I am thinking we will see Jones. Kid is going to need some snaps for sure. Mullen said we had packages for him, but haven't seen that thus far.

Is Mullen still a better game day coach than Kirby? Asking for a friend.

Kirby doesn’t struggle against Kentucky. And if he did, we wouldn’t feel good about it. Times they are a changing...
I see douche bag Jones is on our site again. What is Gwendolyn asleep right now? Kirby coached great vs Texas last year in your Bowl game.

We got burned with screens 3-4 times in the 1st half when we blitzed and it seemed we gave up on it after that. And their 2 tall receivers beat our man coverage a couple of times and that must have led to the decision to play zone, which we're not very good at. We weren't getting a push at all from our front 4 and even on most running plays their line was manhandling our D-line. Just not used to seeing a Grantham defense play that passive. Seemed like Randy Shannon was calling the defense last night.

How many DB's are we down right now from the preseason? 6? It really is a nightmare scenario. At one time it was a top 5 unit in the country, now it's not a top 5 unit in the SEC. Our defense is predicated on being able to afford to blitz because the back end has it on lock. But right now we are far from lock position. We need to get some of these DB's back before we get to the good teams, which isn't much longer.

Good point. We've taken it on the chops in the secondary. Hopefully we get Henderson back soon. I guess on the plus side these freshman are getting good game experience on the road.

Uh yea. I know you all love to pretend to have amnesia but Mullen hasn’t lost by damn near 30 to a 5-win team yet, hasn’t called a fake FG on 4th and 9, hasn’t called a fake punt on 4th and 11 at midfield, hasn’t lost to Vandy at home, and on and on. He had a shit game last night, unlike you I’m not a homer and can call him out. But no one believes Kirby is good on game days but UGA homers. UGA wins because they have the best talent money can buy.

I get why we live in your head...it's been a long long stretch. By the way, Ky isn't a bad team. They did manage 10 wins last year, and they will most likely win 9 or so this year.
I just heard a lot about mullen’s elite coaching skills in the offseason, so I guess I expected more. Seems you all are okay with going toe to toe with Kentucky annually...

Kirby will be good again on gameday in Jax in the very near future. Bank on it...

That’s great. He’s still made decisions in game my middle school coaches would have known better than to make. Lol@ you coming over here gloating when your shit ass coach lost to Vandy at home. Losing to a 10-win Kentucky team will never compare to that no matter how many times you try.

And btw UF just won a game on the road without our best player Henderson, one of our best playmakers Toney, our best pass rusher Zuniga, our starting linebacker Burney, our starting safety Stiner who was lost on a targeting penalty, and our starting QB. And despite all that nobody here is happy. Meanwhile y’all get manhandled by teams with less talent and it’s “but but but we were young!”

So nah times aren’t a changing. Your fanbase still talks big shit then makes a bunch of pathetic excuses when you lose. We get pissed even when we win when we know it’s not up to par. That’s why your program hasn’t and won’t accomplish shit. You’re cool with participation ribbons. As long as you win the offseason with all your recruiting trophies you’re happy.

I had been screaming 'you can't run the ball, so throw it' all game.
I almost turned the game off in disgust just before Franks went down.

And then in the late in the 3rd quarter, Trask comes in and they mostly throw it.
It rekindled my hope that they could pull the game out.
And it apparently rekindled the whole team in believing the same thing....

Do whatever works and whatever the defense is giving you. You don't have to run to win, you just have to outscore the opponent in any manner that works in a game. o_O
