Quintuple Vaxxed Fauchi has Covid

OK, that's funny.

Vaccines are keeping him out of the hospital. That is ultimately what they are supposed to do.

Now, and perhaps this was true for prior variants, does it prevent infection? Nope. Does it prevent spread? Nope? Is natural immunity keeping cases and deaths down? Yep.

Final note, and this board does not want to hear this, is that the death rate is higher in lower vaccinated counties and states and higher ones. The numbers have flipped in that "health equity" is that whites are dying are higher rates than blacks.

Why? Vaccinations.

Personally, I want him retired, but am glad on a personal level that is safe.

Natural antibodies are at least as effective at preventing death and hospitalization..

If you're high risk, get the jab imo. If not, use your own judgment. What's not ok is forcing the vaccine....on ANYONE.

I've seen zero evidence it occurred naturally. Have you?
100 percent assumption but zero evidence.

Again, I have thought it was a lab leak from early in 2020 which is why I was quite afraid at it's spread and potential lethality and first to get a vaccine from a US company.

How do you know vaccines are keeping him out of the hospital? That's a talking point. He's also taking Paxovid. He's also pretty thin and healthy. My fat dad, prediabetic, two heart attacks, pacemaker, 76YO had a mild flu/bad cold for 3-4 days and was fine (this was before vaccines were avail, so it was an earlier variant). The current variants running around are mild, most people are fine regardless of vax status. And proving a negative is a fallacy, you can't say that something not happening proves your point.

And this is no longer a pandemic of the unvaccinated. It's getting really close to not making much of a difference. Do the vaccines wane quickly? Do they compromise immune response to Covid long-term? Looking at the data these are the questions we should be asking. I think it's possible that we're putting people on a never-ending vaccine schedule with a treatment that has a questionable safety profile. How much spike protein is too much?

Just remember this chart the next time a three letter health agency tells you that you're 8X more likely to die without a vax - and keep in mind this isn't even an age-adjusted number (look at the younger population). The scale matters.
Your point is on looking forward with broad herd immunity. I have been vaxxed and boosted and to my knowledge, have not had Covid-19, certainly not symptomatic covid.

What should concern people, again to your point, is to what extent, identical to testosterone, should we worry that constant vaccination supresses natural immunity. It's a fair question.

I will likely choose to get one on an annual basis as with my flu shot. It's a choice - and one why I did not like vaccine mandates, especially for scarce resource industries like nursing, and, again I will differ with here, like a woman's choice before viability outside of the womb.

Give people information and let them make their informed decision.

What has been completely removed is the societal benefit. Being vaccinated is increasingly doing a poorer job of preventing infection and does not, to my understanding, limit spread.

It doesn't. The numbers on the vaccines are terrible, and the side effect profile is much worse. And it's trending south on both metrics.

If you decide to get a Covid shot annually, which I sincerely hope you reconsider, at least look into non-mRNA alternative like NovaVax.

My fear, as a science guy (retired periodontist), is that the stats are simply being used by those with an agenda to back whatever that agenda is. I would love to see some independently derived statistically significant data, but i am not holding my breath. That said, my gut tells me we are being sold a bill of goods with these vaccines ...

Disagree (respectfully) on the first, but looking very strongly at the latter for exactly those reasons. Any honest discussion would say that we have no long term data on an mRNA vaccine.

Great post and tone, by the way.

Where have the daily death stats gone since they allowed pneumonia and influenza to count again?
