Two things....of course we've taken a bigger hit economically. We are still the richest nation on planet earth (for now) so a shutdown will cause more economic loss here than in Latvia, Greece or Ghana. Likewise, if you didn't have a job prior to the pandemic, the pandemic didn't cost you your job. Unemployment was ridiculously low in the US prior to the pandemic and that wasn't the case for most every other developed nation.
How about relative stats like unemployment rate and loss of gdp by percentage. How much debt have we taken on to even keep our numbers at these sub-depression levels?
Im not talking about Latvia, Greece or Ghana. I’m talking about our competitors in the world. Do you know who they are? Show me some numbers on how we’ve done vs our competitors. Isn’t that who we’re supposed to be beating up on? How we doing on trade vs. China?

Their debt to gdp is worse, but our debt just tripled and our gdp is projected to drop 40 percent.
