Unbelievable if true. Short of us landing Frost this is a screwup of epic proportions. A result this bad could only get worse if they hired Mullen.
Well its not official yet. Paco and all those other guys can talk it up if Kelly does sign with us.

How could it possibly be a screw up? That suggest we did not do everything we could do to get him. I am sure we did. We can't force him to come here.

Ok guys here’s another update today. This one isn’t promising for Florida and Chip Kelly.
Kelly called Florida back this morning with more demands or request however you want to put it. He’s pitting Florida and UCLA against each other but I’ve been told Florida has had enough. The offer to Stricklin is out there but Florida isn’t going to budge any further.
I would say now that things are in UCLA’s favor because they will give whatever he wants even when the request or too much.
I’ve also been told that there’s a chance Florida meets with Scott Frost this weekend if they lose today.
While I’m sure everyone will blame Stricklin here, I don’t think it’s completely fair as he gave Kelly pretty much everything he ask for and more.
Again I’m going to try and gather more info but this is what I have as of 4:15 today.

That is actually false. I have a connection with somebody within the UF UAA program. This same source was right on telling me McElewain would be fired on Sunday after the UF/UGA game regardless of outcome. Obviously it didn’t work out with Kelly. It is what it is.
Its a major screw up if reports are true that the sticking point was control and especially that POS Shannon.
UF will never land an elite coach if they want to micromanage it from a UAA stand point
Its a huge screw up due to the optics of flying the President up there. Should have never done that unless the deal was truly already done. It will also be bad optics if we miss out on Frost now putting it out there we are moving on to him since Kelly wont make his mind up. Short of getting one of those two we will be the laughing stock of our rivals now. Heck I don't blame them since if they had the same thing happen I would be laughing my butt off at the incompetence of them doing that.
Sick of all these updates. Whatever 'demands' he came back with, I'm 100% certain it would be for the sake of winning, so give it to him. Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh, or any other elite coach are gonna be just as demanding. Either you wanna win big or you don't, this half and half shit is tiring.
Chip Kelly is the hot girl that gets a lot of attention. Maybe we should play hard to get and see where we end up. I'd rather end up with someone who will be grateful for the job. Someone like Scott Frost.

Until some type of official announcements are made, sadgator isn’t going to believe anyone or anything...nor is sadgator going to speculate on who did what and whether the “what” was a “screw up.” Nobody knows anything, except the parties involved.

It had nothing to do with Randy Shannon. He didn’t feed me bad information. He fed me the information that was available to him at the time. It turned out that it didn’t work out but it doesn’t make him wrong either. It happens.
I blame myself for buying into everything so easily but Paco was just saying what 90% of the other sources were saying so you cant be mad at him. I am still holding out hope Kelly changes his mind like he did with Philly.
I just laugh when someone tells us they have "inside information". Especially when that inside information supposedly comes from someone that works inside the AD. There is no possibility that anyone in the know about these kinds of things is going to feed inside information to a person that will post that information on a public board.

And Forde's article doesn't even really say anything, why are people giving it credibility? It says Florida has kept options open while they pursued Kelly, no duh, but they're now prepared to move on to other candidates based on nothing but sources. The same sources that had Kelly signing an agreement already. May turn out Kelly goes somewhere else, but it's just more 'source' reporting, the same shit people are killing Paco and other people for. How does that make any sense?
Somebody brought up Stricklin’s insistence on keeping Shannon messed this deal up. That isn’t the case.
There are no guarantees until the ink dries on the contract. It is what it is. Kelly was a potential juggernaut at UF, but if he wants to go to UCLA then phuck him. They ain't Shit and it is extremely telling if he was that easily persuaded that late in the game.
And his guy WILL refer to himself in the third person no matter how wrong/confident he was about the Chip Kelly situation.
