If we had a true opposition party in this country then there would be hope. Sadly, the trajectory has been the same for decades and isn't changing whether it's the ones with the D or the R in control of our Federal Government.
It's time for an Article V convention. This is the final firebreak built into our Constitution by our founding fathers against a tyrannical federal government.

If you look at things completely objectively there is no chance of anything short of a complete financial collapse followed by Lord only knows. My view is that the current US will Balkanize into several smaller regions. After a lot of hell. It is what it is.

You'll learn that this site's sole purpose is for people to bitch about everything Obama. Yet, the stock market is at an all time high, unemployment is declining and the housing market has recovered.
The only ones complaining are the losers that will not be successful under any administration. They should all pack up and leave as far as I'm concerned.

This is a good thing IMO. Lawyers don't actually "produce" anything (other than more laws) so the more people we put into productive jobs the better. And I think you are overestimating the impact Obamacare has had on most people.Originally posted by Ghost of Spaceheater:

Back to topic...the issue over where our President was actually born survives directed verdict and goes to the jury. There are more than one source suggesting it was Africa. Indeed Obama's own publicity pamphlet from his Harvard days says he was born in Africa. Of course, that doesn't mean he actually was...perhaps he just held himself out that way when it sounded good. Do you think its possible the main reason Obama won't allow public access to his school records has something to do with where he claims to be born?

Nothing. It's bad.
Yep.
Maybe not his past "policies", but if discovered during his term, can you imagine what people are going to say about the enforceability of his executive orders, or perhaps even the laws he signed? Are any of his Presidential actions supportable if he isn't actually eligible to hold the office? Maybe they'll vacate some of his "wins" lol.
There will be an argument the entire Democratic ticket was invalid, and Biden shouldn't have been Vice President to begin with. We don't hold separate elections for each office. Just another battleground.
We are already "jaded". Me thinks a functional Republic requires us following our own rules. If we don't, the truth helps correct us in the fallout.
Endgame for who? Obama? Power and partial narcissistic satiation.
Obama's opponents? It varies from abject hatred for Obama to doing what's right as a matter of principle.
Obama's supporters? They like having their guy in the Whitehouse.
