Ok, so ya’ll know Napier isn’t getting fired, right?!?!?

Nobody’s dumb enough to give away 8 figures. It doesn’t even make sense. The reason he has the job is BECAUSE of the buyout. If he gave enough of it away, he’d be fired tomorrow.

When money isn't a huge issue ego comes into play and I think a lot of coaches would consider it over being known as a loser in their big job. Could have showed some goodwill to the program also accepting a lower buyout of like 10 million at the end of 2025 if he screws up 2025 also.

May as well just put us on probation like in the 80's, it feels like it with our 60th ranked recruiting class.

What is worse is we will take a class in the 40s or 50s this year then when we fire him in October next year we will have a transition class. This is being played very poorly.

That's about the most ignorant thing Saban has done or said since he chose Duante Culpeppper over Drew Brees as his QB.
He didn’t do that. In fact he wanted Brees and the dolphin administration said no. And thanks to that we had to deal with Bama for a decade and a half.

Stoops has a ridiculous $40+M buyout. A lot of UK fans are hoping he’ll agree to walk away after the season is over. Of course he’ll probably want to prove that he can improve on a very disappointing season (I have serious doubts that are beyond the scope of this discussion); plus our AD would most likely be inclined to cut him some slack.

Its mind blowing how ADs can handcuff a program with these kind of contracts.

That Sumrall dude looks like he'd be a great replacement for Stoops.

Jon Sumrall, that is.

Yes….. Former UK player and assistant coach; solid recruiter, he’s been a winner as a HC.

He’s clearly the top choice of many UK fans to succeed Stoops. Within the next 2-3 years if not sooner he’s likely to get a P4 HC job.

Just imagine the total meltdown for Tebow Time if/when this happens, and don't think LSU won't think twice about taking action.

Here's what I stole from another message board.

If LSU hires Kiffin before we fire Billy and hire someone else, the rage that will spew towards our administration will be deafening. LSU, USC, OU, FSU and gawd knows how many other programs next year will very well be shopping for new coaches. We don't want to be competing with that.
As for 6 wins next year, we have the exact same schedule next year, replacing UCF and Samford with USF and FAMU. It will be another 4 or 5 win season next year, if we keep Billy.

The thing is in the NIL era, if your coach doesn’t have that kind of buyout, people use it to negatively recruit you. It’s just a completely screwed up system, and UF is just eating it from every angle.

Have you seen the girls in the LSU stands? NO way he goes there and I have it on good faith only because my daughter has classes with some of the football players at Ole Miss that he has already told the team he is staying in Oxford. Whether it holds true or not we shall wait and see.

So he only goes to a school with slightly more attractive chicks just to coach football? Got it!

I also can imagine another meltdown if Florida were to bring back Urban Meyer or hire Curt Cignetti. Win or lose to Ohio State, Indiana is CFP bound.

No, I haven't seen the LSU coeds in the stands this past weekend but I've seen my share of them in a few games I attended at LSU. Just like every other campus, LSU also has their fair share of attractive college coeds.
