Is the new Chair of the Democratic Party of Florida.
I 100% approve. They’ll be the same dysfunctional losers they’ve been for the last 20 years and she’ll open her mouth and keep them that way.

I dont think it matters who the Florida democrats put in there. It wasnt long ago that Florida was a true swing state. Obama won it twice. Bill Nelson was a statewide elected Senator. Numerous governor races that eventually went republican were razor tight. I think the democrats problem in Florida is three fold. 1) The Florida Democrat WAS a traditional democrat. They disagreed with people like me on taxes, regulation and Social Security / Medicare ( I would like to see these programs phased over time ). However, the Florida democrat still believed in things like the nuclear family, people using the locker room based on what is in their pants ( not mental illness ), and that you NEVER EVER harm children. The modern democrats lost the Florida democrat on wokeness. 2) COVID. The remaining traditional democrats still sitting on the fence were tipped into the Red camp with the modern democrats COVID tyranny. COVID was a huge tipping point for our state, RDS rightly gets a lot of the credit, but THE PEOPLE of Florida were having none of this. Didnt matter who was in the govs mansion, FLORIDIANS were not ever going along with this. 3) Based on good policy on the two subjects above, conservatives and traditional democrats fled WOKE COVID tyranny states to come and live in a culture that is resistant to it, and elected leaders who are responsive to the culture. So Florida has experienced an influx of red voters to the rune of millions. The democrats have lost the state of Florida. They have nothing to offer our state.

There are only a handful of Dem retarded counties in FL. Broward is the biggest loser, followed by Palm Beach, Alachua, Leon, and one central Florida one near Orlando. Dade and Duval are purple. The Tampa Bay area leans red, but other than that the entire state is ruby red. 90% of the counties are solid GOP. The Florida legislature tells the entire story.

The Miami Herald newspaper is hot trash, a toxic waste dumpster fire. They better watch out or they'll become obsolete. Ask the Florida Time Union, it's not thick enough to wrap fish.

Yep Florida is one of the very few states where the people moving in are mostly conservative. Most of the other states are getting transplants that might vote for a cocktail club Rep for a couple of years and then they go full lefty after a while. Exactly what happened out west and what is currently happening in TX. Its too bad some of these transplants arent moving to GA instead because it has the same issue as the states out west now.

100% correct.
Duval is purplish I agree. The fact that Donna Deegan can run for Mayor with no platform aside from her marathon and be in contention to win just amazes me.

Dallas has always had Democratic voters and they’re helped by the fact that the Mayor and City Council seats are “non-partisan” which is hardly the case.

its scary looking at the trends in some of these states. AZ and GA are definitely trending to be lost in the future and TX isn't too far behind them. Once AZ and GA are gone it takes PA, WI and NV to overcome that for a POTUS win. Unless its a real bad year for Dems I dont see MI flipping back to Reps since it is pickup up a few more lefties as people move in and out of there. If TX ever falls which the trends aren't good it will be over.

I didn't even know that asshat was running. 😂 I'm sure you are aware of the Tim/Donna TV station affair story from 23 years ago. Around that same time period a friend of mine did a construction job on her home after the Hicken separation. He said that she looked like a witch without makeup on, and her personality matched the look. 😂 It's fairly common knowledge she's a total bitch, and if she's still married, her weatherman husband is an over-the-hill druggie surfer.

She’s a Hazouri which gives her “connections “ or so she thinks.
And if you drive around certain neighborhoods like Riverside/Avondale you’ll see her yard signs. Maybe a few here and there in San Marco but that’s about it.
My vote is Daniel Davis. And I know all about her past. 😈

I still see it in the news stand racks in convenience stores. It's usually next to Felon Crime Cracksmoker arrest rags. 😂 I haven't read one in years. Hell, I didn't even know this until you made me look it up!

Where is the Florida Times-Union located now?

Image result for where is florida time union building?

On February 11, 2018, The Florida Times-Union printed its last papers in Jacksonville after 154 years. The Florida Times-Union newspapers are now printed at The Gainesville Sun and The Daytona Beach News-Journal, which are both owned by Gatehouse Media.

I agree that Arizona and Georgia are in trouble. I keep seeing people saying that Texas is headed that way, but election night always throws cold water on this. Is Texas really getting away? I think the deal with Florida is that the PEOPLE here simply do not tolerate the BS. The people here are not afraid to speak their mind, put their foot down and so forth...and it gives elected leaders here the courage to do the same. I have said before, the PEOPLE of Florida are everything Texans THINK they are. Not to be trifled with.

Note to forum that are unaware. That was sarcasm, the Dems suck EVERYWHERE. But that shouldn't ruffle any "Independent" feathers should it? :p
I'm aware it was sarcasm and I know you think democrats sucks everywhere. Doesn't bother me.

Yes she was Donald Hasouri’s daughter but went by Donna Clewis. Never a fan of Tommy but Donald was a lawyer in Jax and a great guy. Donna is also not a great speaker or debater so I think she won’t win but she does a lot of positive things with her charity and fighting cancer and honestly aside from her political allegiances and past marital transgressions, I can appreciate what she has done fund raising and promoting awareness. But keep her away from policy please, lol.

I actually liked Tommy Hazouri who was an old school Duval County Democrat.
My late Mother was an old school Dem here in Jax way back when they were conservatives and she headed a small state agency under Reuben Askew.
No personal issue with Donna but I do not see her experience in TV or her charity as translatable to the Mayors Office.

All about the mexican based hispanic vote and illegal immigration.

I keep saying "Illegal Immigration" is the #1 issue. This is a key reason why....

AZ and TX have the big CA transplant issue also. They are bad for complaining about what happened to CA and then after a few years are back to voting for lefties. TX isn't gone yet but the trends will have it getting close to 50/50 in 2028 or at least 2032. Obama even lost TX by 16% in 2012 but Biden lost TX by less than 6% in 2020.

When I was a young budding teen my dad was a Democrat who never voted for Democrats, only wanted to vote in the primaries to weed out the worst. He had politically connected friends even though he was apolitical. One friend knew JP Hall, so we got invited to his ranch in Green Cove Springs to turkey hunt. At the cookout the night before who shows up? A big campaign flag wielding limo rolls in on the dusty road. It was Jake Godbold.😂

Jake the snake! I used to see him at Cotton’s bbq on Main in Jax all the time.

He was a character, larger than life. Never been in Cotton's. But Jenkins had some great BBQ back when I worked downtown.
Jenkins was always solid too, hate we hijacked the thread but it’s beats Donna’s politics, lol. Rutherford owned her in a local election debate not long ago in Jax. Looks like bbq for lunch now though!

LOL. All of Florida is a shitshow. It’s all either inbred rednecks, obnoxious Yankees or old people waiting to die. The freeways suck with either left lane slowpokes or wannabe race car drivers.

I spent all of last week there and couldn’t wait to get back to Texas.

Let me guess _ you love Austin,TX...
It’s OK for a brief visit but I wouldn’t want to live there. Some of the suburbs are OK. At least it has some culture and some great BBQ.

What does Florida have to offer that‘s better? OK, I’ll give you fishing and boating but that’s about it.

FL was a really back and forth state when it came to the Governor and POTUS races but that is probably over now since the Dems are batsh*t crazy left now. I remember Graham and Lawton Chiles winning multiple times along with Nelson being a lock in the Senate until he finally lost. I doubt we get a Dem governor or Senator for the next decade if not longer.

I would take the coast of FL myself as long as it's above Palm Beach county.

Go to Orlando and Tampa (I-4 corridor), that is drag queen world. They even have a burger spot.

Yeah. Orlando is certainly a stain on the state, but Tampa is pretty normal as far as cities go. I prefer rural life myself, but my faunts and uncles are city slickers living in Tampa. Seems pretty normal to me, but I dont spend much time out there. I like to catch a few Bolts games a year, never have to pass a homless encampment, never stepped on a dope needle...not to say it aint there, i have never seen it. You certainly have more progressive types but no hostile in your face left wingers and big city problems.
