NFL investigating Jameis Winston for groping an Uber driver

Apparently he was yelling gay insults at pedestrians out the window, before grabbing the driver's privates in a Mexican food drive-thru. Pure class, that guy.
 
Crap, just when we finally cleared the board of the nole RRT we post this. The defenders of everything thats jamie will be here very soon.
 
If the guy did the things he's being accused of, he should be working at a McDonald's somewhere in Alabama by this time next week. He's did some dumb things in Tallahassee, but this would put him in the upper echelon of dumbasses.

Even if he didn't touch the girl in this case, he has shown a real knack for putting himself in bad situations.
 
I'm sure f$u will have their cops on payroll call the locals in Tampa to discuss how they covered this up before.

A bus load of nolies will be there to defend him at all costs.

Hoping jamie goes away, far away, and then maybe the NFL as a whole will stop hating America and get back to playing football, then maybe, after a long time, I will watch some again.

"Winston denied the allegations, saying in a statement Friday that the "accusation is false."

"A news organization has published a story about me regarding an alleged incident involving a female Uber driver from approximately two years ago," Winston said in the statement. "The story falsely accuses me of making inappropriate contact with this driver. I believe the driver was confused as to the number of passengers in the car and who was sitting next to her. The accusation is false, and given the nature of the allegation and increased awareness and consideration of these types of matters, I am addressing this false report immediately. At the time of the alleged incident, I denied the allegations to Uber, yet they still decided to suspend my account.

"I am supportive of the national movement to raise awareness and develop better responses to the concerns of parties who find themselves in these types of situations, but this accusation is false. While I am certain that I did not make any inappropriate contact, I don't want to engage in a battle with the driver and I regret if my demeanor or presence made her uncomfortable in any way."​

The driver, who declined to give her name, told BuzzFeed News that she picked Winston up at around 2 a.m. on March 13, 2016, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Winston asked her to stop at a drive-thru restaurant during the ride, and while in line, the driver said Winston reached over and "grabbed" her crotch for three to five seconds, only removing his hand when she said something. Winston was the only passenger in the car, the driver said."​


If he did this -- and I don't know if he did -- he deserves whatever he gets. Of all people, he should know that he is under a microscope.

It seems like the number of passengers would be straightforward to confirm. I find the last sentence in his statement to contain an unnecessary amount of apologizing for a guy who claims to be innocent.

As others have noted, he's Tampa's problem now. We've got enough problems.
 
I would think that a punk who can rape a woman would have no problem groping another woman when the opportunity presents itself.

While I have absolutely NO CLUE which scenario is true, I know that some women SUCK (see: Duke La Crosse team, Brian Banks, etc.) I also know that only 5-7% of assault cases are false.

Glad this is no longer an FSU issue.
 
And what a miracle that Darby just happens to be a witness every time jamie gropes a woman against her will..... must be divine intervention for the lucky little dindu nuffin.

Why shouldn't it? We've had to endure the RRT for years now any time we even uttered anything even minutely negative towards Saint jamie. But now that you no longer have any use for him, you disown him.
 
It's more of "Wait and see" in my case...It's extremely fishy IMO that the accuser waited this long to say something and there are conflicting stories. I'm going to see how it shakes out before passing judgment.

If only Weinstein, Rose, Franken etc had the foresight to hire Darby to accompany them every time they touched women without consent.

But as per usual, Noles will pretend that EVERYONE is innocent until proven guilty.

Unlike that vast majority of our country, in any sort of public scandal, where you’re automatically guilty.

Not Noles though.

You and Roy Moore supporters are hilarious.

No matter what comes out, there’s conspiracy and alterior motives at play.

Bottom line is that this is its own unique case which has absolutely nothing to do with any other accused's own situation. In addition, it's not my burden to defend his or the actions of any other FSU alumnus besides myself. It's Thanksgiving and time to enjoy the three "F's"...family, food, and football. Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday.

Pretty sure no one ever called Jamie’s a “saint”...
 
I really started to really like Winston last year going into this year right up to the point HBO put the Bucs on TV on the Hard Knocks training camp. It’s was this stupid show that I did a 180 and well the Bucs and Winston became my least liked team in the NFL but then again I quit watching the NFL a few years ago. Too many overpaid players on the field where money changes them so much that they don’t truly give 110% at practice and during the games. Not saying all the players are like this but there are many of them that has ruined the game or are ruining it for the future. I’d rather watch College and High School football anyday but I’m starting to really love hockey more and more, that is one if not the hardest game to play.

Or hoes be trying to get rich and know Jameis is an ez target. This is more likely. Jameis can get whatever he wants whenever he wants, no need to force it
