depends on how you look at it...UF was prepared to give ST a BIG offer, more than LSU and imo it was way more than they should for interior OL -- then LSU came back and offered even more and at that point it would have been plain stupid to go up again ---- Ffrench has a deal at Texas that is insane for a kid of his caliber and would have been a ton more than other kids coming in so I mean if you want to say NIL cost UF I guess you can but not really it was a decision UF made not to pay over the top nonsenseSailsMane said:

I mean if a player is committed to another program its not a whiff imo the kid is ALREADY committed to another program how can it be a whiff? at some point UF did miss landing the kid when he originally went the other way so I don't think a team gets dinged twice

UF has a responsibility to itself and other players not to over pay for Big headed kids.
and that is assuming that UF was in on the kid from the start and really really wanted..some times they go after kids late that are already commits to other schools that is a whole different story
