At least he didn't think the E stood for Emmitt...Emmitt thinks the "E" in DEI stands for equality, which shows how much he knows about this subject.

True but you really can't have one without the other. The Supreme Court struck down Affirmative Action, not DEI.
Guessing that's why you're so happyIgnorance is bliss.
Yes and No. I think they can be mutually exclusive to each other and not joined at the hip, but one definitely does depend more on the other. Just my quick and humble two cents on it.True but you really can't have one without the other.
Life's too short to be ragin. But you do you.Guessing that's why you're so happy
At least he didn't think the E stood for Emmitt...
The athletic department doesn't need a DEI department to get minority students into the school.I did not know Napier recruits based on academic achievement
Who's raging? I gave you a fact and you had to respond with a gif and insult.... But you do youLife's too short to be ragin. But you do you.
POTD (D=DECADE)Ahhh those crazy right wing minions thinking one should get into school based on academic achievements and not the color of their skin or whom they choose to sleep with..........
99.99999% of the world is...yes. Emmitt carries footballs. So you are more aware of facts than Emmitt?
He hates facts, don't waste your time. The Supreme Court said it was unconstitutional.
Insult?Who's raging? I gave you a fact and you had to respond with a gif and insult.... But you do you
So ignorance is bliss wasn't an insult mmkay.... I think you got into the bottle a little early today so I'm done with you. Have a great dayInsult?

This is what I warned about.Front page of espn.com all because the DEI stuff. Should we expect any fallout from this?
Equity is not about equal rights .. it’s about extra rights.“Equity” is a word that has been corrupted. DEI is more about power than anything. The concept also assumes a faulty system that must be destroyed.
Superficially, it’s political red meat to inflame and lead away from critical thought and discussion.

True but you really can't have one without the other.
Spoken like a true lawyer 😉Not necessarily true.... in Florida it, depends on what aspect of DEI folks are talking about.
But I get your point.
🤣🤣🤣🤣Spoken like a true lawyer 😉
Guess he doesn’t realize Affirmative Action and DEI are actually the same - it’s approved discrimination due to race. Reduces the need for merit and establishes race based quotas. Everything in life should based on merit and I’ll never waiver on that.True but you really can't have one without the other.
Amazon loves them some dei. We have to give a tip in every deep dive meetingNothing most major corporations aren’t already doing.
What would be your answer to specific groups getting more opportunities then others. Everyone at the top is not honorable. If you had data that said this percentage of minorities graduated from universities and their majority counterparts were hired at a higher rate with better starting salaries. How would you fix it. When more people who claim that they’re so smart actually look at the data and see the bias and speak up then you wouldn’t need the Rooney rule and affirmative action.Guess he doesn’t realize Affirmative Action and DEI are actually the same - it’s approved discrimination due to race. Although I agree with the basic premise that we should support one another on character…when it is found the unfair practices such as discrimination are found there needs to be legislation put in place to stop it. So if you see a sharp decline in minority enrollment something should be done about it..IMHODEI, though well intended, creates division and separation not togetherness. We must all support one another based on content of character not color of skin.
All of this is right, of course.“Equity” is a word that has been corrupted. DEI is more about power than anything. The concept also assumes a faulty system that must be destroyed.

The real assumption here is that everything is hierarchal. That there always has to be a vertical power structure, not horizontal. Why do you suppose that is?“Equity” is a word that has been corrupted. DEI is more about power than anything. The concept also assumes a faulty system that must be destroyed.

This is how we naturally arrange ourselves…. Hierarchy. It’s naturalThe real assumption here is that everything is hierarchal. That there always has to be a vertical power structure, not horizontal. Why do you suppose that is?
And naturally, people feel threatened and are often resistant to change when that hierarchy is altered...or...when there is a more level playing field. 🤔This is how we naturally arrange ourselves…. Hierarchy. It’s natural
I don’t think DEI is an attempt overturn hierarchical systems, or level a playing field. DEI is an attempt to construct a new hierarchy using victim hood as currency. I think it is absurd. And naturally, people feel threatened and are often resistant to change when that hierarchy is altered...or...when there is a more level playing field. 🤔
Anything's possible when you have no clue what you are talking about.I don’t think DEI is an attempt overturn hierarchical systems, or level a playing field. DEI is an attempt to construct a new hierarchy using victim hood as currency. I think it is absurd.
Okay. I have listened to plenty of what the intersectionality whacko’s have to say. It’s as simple as self perceive victims trying to leverage their fragile nature into higher social status.Anything's possible when you have no clue what you are talking about.

This guy must have the gift of foresight. This thread will be real normal.
I’m old enough to remember being taught “reverse discrimination” was bad.I’m actually old enough to remember when racism & segregation were uncool!
