My buddy flew to DC that AM from Boston for the rally with a group of folks. Towards the end of Trump's speech on 1/6 they noticed the police moving barriers to the Capitol and thought something might be up. They made the decision to get the hell out of there as people streamed into the Capitol. He called me during their hasty retreat to Reagan Airport and said, "watch the news today, this is a set up, we are getting out of town ASAP."

And shamelessly, most of those people have been arrested and are sitting in confinement, still not charged with anything, 8+ months later.
There was video of it all over twitter. One video showed a cop waving people in through a removed barrier.
Others showed the Capitol Police firing flash bangs into the crowd to agitate them.
It's gross that some Trump supporters got swept up into acting like complete idiots (one even lost her life), but even the FBI finally had to admit this wasn't an organized overthrow of the gov't. It was a riot inside the Capitol. And the reaction confirms it - it's been used to push the narrative that "white supremacy" is the greatest threat to the nation.
Another key data point - several Oathkeepers (6 I think?) are in deep shit on conspiracy charges...but the leader of the Oathkeepers who was there and yelling for people to go in and was heavily involved hasn't been charged...hasn't even been targeted in the investigation. They aren't even trying to hide it.

One of the funniest and saddest threads on this board came on Jan 6th when we were discussing ABC and PBS' coverage of this as it happened. You only had to watch about a minute of coverage to tell this was a complete hoax. PBS showed us video of rioters breaching the capitol and destroying all before their path.....but all the cameras showed was a progression of people slowing walking past and smiling and waving at the cameras as they did. The PBS chick finally got brave enough to run up to one of the boys and asked him to explain to America why he's so angry, so filled with rage???'

And while this was happening, @Uniformed_ReRe had an actual panic attack, in real-time. He legit thought Trump barbarians were at the gate, and they were taking over the country. I honestly felt sorry to see someone that hoodwinked by the media.
I was here with you, also watching PBS. For the most part, it was like a weekend expo at an art gallery. 😂 The people that broke the window should have been jailed and fined. But other than that, it was hilarious.

He certainly looks like an actor. “If I say this I’m going to go to jail” - and the Trump supporter replies “then don’t say it” and he says it anyway…because he knows he’s not going to jail.
I guess that’s another way to tell - if this guy isn’t in solitary then it was a setup. They have a lot of people in jail for a lot less.
Besides, they have video of him trying to agitate the people to rush inside the Capitol, but wasn't seen inside/arrested at the Capitol. If he was as gungho as the video shows, why wasn't he there and arrested????

I wonder if @BSC911 @LizardGrad89 @sadgator @kalimgoodman have any comment on these two video clips, Garland's refusal to answer and if it bothers them that this guy isn't in jail....despite the "sweeping investigation" they keep bragging about. The grandma who took the picture holding an American Flag inside the Capitol went to jail, just a juxtaposition.

Funny part, people invited in, arrested, police who moved barriers and invited the people, nothing. No interviewing, noone asking WHY DID YOU REMOVE BARRIERS and INVITE PEOPLE IN.
I watched it. I don’t think the fact that he wasn’t arrested is proof that he was an FBI plant, but I won’t completely rule out that possibility.
Clearly, there were people on the Inside who wanted the protesters to storm the Capitol. Were they FBI plants setting a honeypot to catch troublemakers, or were they hardcore Trumpers who were trying to help Trump intimidate Congress? Either explanation seems plausible.

Well, if you take THIS person trying damn hard to rile the Trump supports up and get them to "storm" the Capitol and "get inside" (not arrested), then add the POLICE/SECURITY (and the lack there of, ordered by PELOSI) removing barriers and inviting people in, and add that BLM/ANTIFA (what ever he is) who just happens to be there and goes inside to "film it" (Wasn't arrested); it sure smells like SOMEONE wanted exactly what happened to happen. And wanted it for a reason. Hmm, Now, what could be that reason????

They've arrested hundreds of people - some for just being outside the Capitol. Most have very minor charges, I think only 6 people have been hit with conspiracy charges.
This guy was planning the night before to organize people going into the building. Then the day of, he's leading and calling to action protesters to move to the capitol after the speech. We have video and we know who this guy is.
Was this event weaponized? What in Garland's response makes you feel better about a three-letter agency not inciting an infiltration of the Capitol (don't you think he'd want to make it clear that didn't happen)? Has Biden used this event to state white supremacy is the greatest threat to the nation? Remember videos of Capitol police waving protesters in and moving barricades? Why were the magnetically locked doors opened? How many of these "insurrectionists" were armed and how many people did they maim or kill? Why didn't Nancy call in the National Guard if they knew for days this was going to happen?

1) Ray Epps was almost immediately identified the night before as a fed plant by a crowd as he tried to plan actually going into the building - at least the group immediately surrounding him knew that was a terrible idea.
2) He was at the speech, then led a group to the Capitol (we have video on that too)
3) He led the initial breach, and immediately after someone whispered in his ear he gave the "go" signal. Remember barricades being removed and magnetic locks being disabled?
4) He initially appeared on the FBI most wanted list, but shortly after he was identified he was taken off of it.
5) Clearly having led the initial breach, he apparently still has not been charged and/or even arrested.
