Former Auburn great, Stan Pietkiewicz, told me and a few others before the season that the winner of the SEC would probably have 4 losses in conference and still be a number one seed. He did feel Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida would be the 4 best, with Auburn winning out. Will be interesting to see how close he was in his prediction.
I would switch Tennessee and A&M right now. A&M just finds ways to keep winning. Wade Taylor would be the best Guard in the SEC if not for Walter Clayton. His scoring is down this year but A&M is playing really good basketball right now.

Looks like I found the answer to my own question. to get a medical the games played must be less than 30% and all played before the season ending injury
Medical redshirt rules enable athletes to preserve eligibility if they suffer a season-ending injury. To qualify, they must have played in fewer than 30% of their team’s games or contests and provide medical documentation to support their claim.
Participation Limit: Regardless of the period of time played or the number of games involved, a student-athlete will have completed one season of eligibility if they take part in any competition during that season. The so-called “one-in-four” rule refers to this
So many good teams in the league. Most of these games seem to come down to home court advantage/officiating/spot injuries. Kentucky, Vandy, and Mizzou can all get out there and surprise.
I'm not sure who I think is better between Tenn and A&M. Tennessee is a better on offense and A&M is a little better on defense.

A couple more things that I’ve heard:
At halftime, Todd told the guys to just let it fly in the second half. Felt like we really couldn’t score that much down low and felt like we have good shooters so he told them that if they got an open shot, they better be taking it. They love playing for him man. The result: 14 three-pointers last night spread nicely amongst the team.
A lot of teams have some of our young bigs and DA on their wish list for the transfer portal. Todd‘s gotta do a good job of trying to keep them. He’s built a team based, in significant part, on talent evaluation and “value”.
But it becomes more difficult to keep your team intact when those “cost-effective” players do extremely well and then attract the attention of others.
But still, I’ll take Todd in that environment over most others. His players absolutely love him.

All 3 of Haugh Condon and DA will be major contributors/starters next year. Hopefully they will want to stay at UF for a chance to repeat in 2026 😉😎🐊
Exactly, I could see Alexis moving on though as I could see us recruiting over him. The other three will be an integral part of next year's team.
Well we’re certainly going to have some “cap” room with Clayton Richard and Martin gone.
Truthfully just keep haugh, condon, DA and we’ll be good. We will build around them effectively.
Condo getting 1st round grades will be interesting. If he’s back soon and continues this path he might be gone. Can’t blame him for that. But maybe we can convince him to pull an 04s with the other guys

Who is giving Condon a first round grade? I've read multiple mock drafts and he's not in the top 100 players.
If he can go first round, he absolutely should go, but I'd be shocked (and pissed if it was my team) that he'd be picked in round 1. He needs a lot of development, both physically and in his game, to be an NBA player.
Yeah, that's a weird one. I've also seen Collin Murray-Boyles from South Carolina as potentially a projected first rounder too, which makes no sense. His game doesn't translate at all to the NBA. Lot of chit being thrown against the wall right now.
I remember a lot of gnashing of teeth and a lot of armchair “experts” here that were picking apart Todd and every move he made hiring his staff. As usual, it pays to have a little patience and perspective. This coaching staff is elite! Phenomenal ability to identify talent (and secure it thanks to @SRGators @kcflagator And company!), develop cohesion and coach them to play like their hair is on fire.
LOVED last year’s’ team and and in awe of this year’s bunch. Hope we can keep Todd and his staff for at least a few more years.

Friday afternoon 2:30-5:45- Rippy’s Main
Friday evening 6:30-10- Redneck Riviera
Saturday afternoon 2:30-6- Tin Roof Broadway
Sunday (possibly/I sub for the drummer in their main stage band fairly regularly on this shift)- 11am-1:45pm- Kid Rock’s Main Stage
Plus I often pick up a sub shift or two either at Wallen’s Main Stage or Luke Bryan’s/Aldean’s

Getting a 1st round grade from Ginovy (good guy, have talked to him a few times about players) is one thing & getting a 1st round guarantee from an NBA team is another. Also, in tune potential NBA players know that your second contract is the money maker, so if Condon knows this and he really trusts the staff in his development I could easily see him staying another year. I do see him declaring and getting an eval after this season though. I could also seeing him getting a high round guarantee from teams. But like college there are only a handful of teams that are great in player development and most teams leave it to the player to develop themselves. These will all be things Condon needs to think about. I personally think he a lot to improve upon and if I were advising him I'd have him stay and develop. How do guarantees work and who do they come from? Does a team call him up and say if you are available at XX pick, we will draft you? Then if they go back on their word it damages relationship with Condon's agent? If so, each team could only give one guarantee per draft class and hard to see Condon being that guy.
A player will do a private workout with a team, a team will say we have pick #15, we are giving you a guarantee now but they will ask said player to shut down their workouts for other teams. Teams usually don't go back on their word, if they do it's b/c another player they rated higher feel to them (it happens and it's a gamble the team & player is taking)
I agree with others Condon has a lot of upside as he started playing basketball at 16 but he needs to continue to develop his game and become consistent. He went through a 3-4 games stretch a few games back where he could not hit anything in close at the rim. I think he could develop into a lottery pick and some point in the future and would be best served to come back and keep developing with Golden.
That said with Condon, Chinyelu, Hough, and Handlogton, all coming back (I would assume Alexis leaves) not sure we have enough minutes available to keep them all content

Did you end up getting any further information on Condon's injury that can be provided publicly?
Been asked not to talk about it but nothing horrible.
