ORLANDO, Fla. | A disappointed but not necessarily angry Jim McElwain joined reporters at his press conference following Florida's 41-7 loss to Michigan in the Citrus Bowl -- one that ended what was a successful inaugural year for the Florida head coach on a sour note.
After another poor offensive outing and a surprisingly shaky defensive performance in a game where the Wolverines simply out-physicaled the Gators, McElwain surprised some when he said he believed he didn't see any "dead fish" out there Friday.
Instead, he simply stated that it was more of "a case of getting your rump kicked in." He added that Michigan "took it to us" and that the game was a learning experience despite an inspired effort.
