LSU IS ALREADY LYING AND CHEATING!!!!!!!!!!!

From the CDC -
If you test positive (for antibodies)
  • A positive test result shows you may have antibodies from an infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. However, there is a chance that a positive result means you have antibodies from an infection with a different virus from the same family of viruses (called coronaviruses). Note: Other coronaviruses cannot produce a positive result on a viral test for SARS-CoV-2.
  • Having antibodies to the virus that causes COVID-19 may provide protection from getting infected with the virus again. But even if it does, we do not know how much protection the antibodies may provide or how long this protection may last.
Makes you wonder who came up with this 90 day BS

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/201...st positive,of viruses (called coronaviruses).

I’ll have to find it but the CDC put out that those who contracted the virus are immune for up to 90 days.

Up to 90 days means nothing. 90 days if you are lucky. How long if you are unlucky? 1 day?

It may be a 90 day minimum. Bottom line is this virus isn’t deadly for healthy young people and that’s where the 90 day threshold is coming from. It isn’t made up and without medical advice. I think Sad’s point is that LSU is falsely claiming a majority of their players have contracted the virus so they can avoid bad news and further depleting their thin and inexperienced roster.

Every team should've thrown a covid party 3 weeks before the first game. Get everyone infected and chill out for 2 weeks. Rest up and hit the practice field the week of the game. Get everyone antibodies so nobody tests positive for at least 90 days.

This has been discussed. Every athlete would have to sign a waiver. I assume none are under 18, or their parents would have to sign it.

Since Coronavirus has been linked to cardiomyopathy, I think it's unlikely too many would agree to voluntarily get sick.

Correct. By SEC rule, if you have COVID, you are exempt from testing for 90 days...lo and behold...LSU’s entire team gets COVID with just enough time to start the season....yeah...ok...sure they do...

I can't believe Saban didn't already think of this. 😲

Sad,

I see your point & agree with you but if you have Covid, you body will produce antibodies. Antibodies can be detected by a blood test.

LSU should have to state which of their players tested positive (nasal swab test) & go back & do the blood test for antibodies.

If anymajor discrepancies are found both the HFC & the AD are prosecuted for fraud & fired !

I would hope that SEC protocols would require proof of antibodies.

But hey, if it's a big lie, then the lack of testing will almost certainly end up with some games lost due to massive COVID outbreaks. The testing is what is keeping players from giving it to each other, because the positives are being kept out of the general population.

You cannot release medical information like this via HIPPA laws. It’ll never happen. If there is an outbreak on the team Orgeron will be fired and the AD may go with him.
