Looks like LSU has canned Coach O but will let him finish the season

I'll also say, sometimes I feel sorry for Ed. Maybe it's from
Listening to a lot of Baton Rouge and New Orleans sports talk last year but he's had a tough go.

He seems like a genuinely passionate guy who gives every last thing he has, but the sad truth for many of us is that our absolute best isn't good enough sometimes.

Who knows, Mullen might have won a BCS title had Cam Newton committed to Miss State. No way Gene Chizik goes 14-0 without Newton in 2010.

Not sure if it would have quite put them over the top but I do think that was an 8-4 type Auburn team with a standard QB. They had some good DTs also but not great anywhere else I think.

Nah, Chris Relf would have been the starter while Cam would have taken the 3rd and 6th series. Mullen would have sat Vick Ballard out of the Ole Miss game to save him for the SECCG like he did with Pitts last season. Mullen doesn't know how to win big.

They are going to Hire Lane Kiffin. We will not beat them again for a long time if they do. Hell, we couldn’t beat them with the Real life version of the Cajun coach from water boy

Speaking of Kiffin I bet if something crazy happened and AR did transfer out that is where he ends up. Those Ole Miss big money boosters would have no issue making sure he got a nice NIL deal to come there if he did leave here.

He could have been ours. I need to hang up the internet.

We were 2 inches away from having Carson Beck and no AR.

that whole situation when Mullen got hired was bizarre.

he came in and cooled off Corral, because he was going full court press to get Justin Fields. When that didn't work, he took Emory, but also tried to convince Joe Burrow to come in the transfer portal.

I guess the rest is history but that's a pretty wild situation when you look back on it.

They would really pay all that to get Jimbo? I would try Kiffin if I was them but hopefully Kiffin doesn't end up there with one of our players.

pay what? According to the article I just read on ESPN speculating about coaches to replace Orgeron, Jimbo doesn't have a buy out.

how can that even be possible?

Leverage I guess though he didn't earn it in reality. I do remember him getting that as part of the deal now so LSU would just have the real big contract. Kiffin has a buyout but not sure what it is.

LSU is going to go after Kiffin and Jimbo first.
You are correct…however; Jimbo isn’t leaving A&M and Baby Kiff ain’t leave Ole’ Miss (although he might for Miami)…there is also a cultural issue with LSU and Lafayette where they won’t hire Napier. Seriously…this is not going to end the way most think…and it isn’t going to be the huge get LSU thinks it is…

Dude…you really ARE pissed off…man, if sadgator knew where you lived, he would come to your place and bring a big joint of high grade medical marijuana or a bottle of good bourbon, and we would get lit, goof on Crapple, laugh about some funny farks, solve the mystery of who the hottest chick in the world is, and sadgator would reassure you that Mullen is our guy…and by the end of the evening, everything would be cool…

A victory vs UGA would probably cure all ills as well as giving Grantham the boot, and handing the keys to the offense to Richardson. Add in a slice to finding real nudes to
Elin Nordegren.

What has you convinced that 2022 is going to get any better?

On a totally off topic note: Have you noticed how much more relaxed and poised Lane Kiffin is since Layla Reaves left? Weird how that happens. Jimbo and Candy? Can we find Megan... nevermind.

What has you convinced that 2022 is going to get any better?
It might not be, but sadgator believes in Dan…not sure what else to say…dude turned our program around after the dark ages, understands what we want as a fan base, has us putting up offensive numbers and production that seemed impossible under either Mac or Mus, and has us competitive in pretty much every game we play…

If people don’t appreciate that, then sadgator can’t help you…but be careful what you wish for, because we damn sure know it can get infinitely worse from where we are right now…

What is this hub…

Wait, did I miss something? What is this hub system?
Erp. POD system. Four groups of four teams each, when Texas and Okie arrive. Lot of speculation they show up next year. When that happens, we won't have LSU annually any more. If they come in next year and we don't immediately go to the pod system, we still likely lose LSU as we will have one more divisional opponent. Having said that, I'd hate to end the annual series on a losing note, would like one more game on SOS field.

Interesting. Any speculation on our 4 team pod?

Interesting. Any speculation on our 4 team pod

If we go to a pod system, the thought is that it would look something like

1. Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina
2. Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
3. LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, TAMU
4. Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma.

9 game conference schedule.

Play your 3 pod teams and 2 from each other pod and play all teams every 4 years.

I haven't seen how this will effect the SECCG.

Personally, I'd rather move Alabama and Auburn to the East, keep/ restart some traditional rivalries and move Missouri to the West where they belong with Texas and Oklahoma added.

geographically and rivalry based pretty clean. And you'd need to play 10 conference games. That still leaves you 2 OOC to have other rivalries and what not.

Mai you'd play 7 divisional games and 3 from the opposite division. No more permanent cross-divisional rival.

And 9 SEC games most likely
