In prep for our upcoming rematch, I rewatched the UF vs Auburn game from earlier in the year, and there were some things that really stood out to me.
(1) The team was playing a lot more loosely compared to the NCAA tournament. They need to get back to just playing fun and free and with nothing to lose, cause we’re honestly not expected to beat Duke right now anyway. We are a lot more effective when we play like that.
(2) Alex Condon needs to play with a lot more energy and confidence. He was a different player during the regular season compared to how he is now. And he still has that player inside of him. He just needs to forget about messing up, and just play loose and with confidence. Cause nobody expects an Aussie who just started playing basketball at 16 to do anything any way. And he absolutely can play at an elite level when he wants to. There’s nobody he can’t guard or score on when he wants to.
If those two things happen, then we can legitimately beat Auburn and Duke and win the whole thing.
