If you look at the timeline of events Friday night a whole bunch of crap came out about how people were stepping in on behalf of Miles and then the next day Jimbo said he was staying. It's clear both sides were interested.

You're "timeline of events" conveniently leaves out this quote from Fisher on Wednesday before the UF game:

What's interesting about his post discrediting Fisher's record against UF because they've been down is that their SEC rivals Tennessee and Georgia sure didn't seem to benefit from UF's slide. Since 2010, Florida is 9-3 vs. Tennessee/Georgia and 1-5 vs. Florida State. Bizarre that UF's slide only helped Dumbo.
