Jacoby Brissett starting for New England Patriots

Or they are currently in a 'world of chit' so to speak... ;)

They are in the world of chit after their QB went down yesterday....

You know they won't miss a beat. They won 11 games with Matt Cassel. They are what Sad is talking about as far as making due with what you have.

They went on the road and beat 'zona, who just absolutely flogged tb, without Brady or Gronkowski, probably 2 of the top 5 players in the league.

Without Brady they are probably in big trouble against that Texans defense. Arrogant Belichick is using a receiver I think for the emergency backup QB to Brissett this week instead of signing a free agent.

Because worst arrogant Bill goes is 2-2 before Brady gets back?

The hate is strong.

Edelman was a beast in college. Threw for 1,800 and ran for a thousand his senior year. If they put him in a spread option attack, he'd probably stampede all over Houston.

It might work for one game I guess - you never know. If they prepared for it I doubt it would work out too great. I doubt he has taken too many snaps in practice prior to this week.

Sorry, but all of those NFL football genius GM's said that the spread wouldn't work in the NFL, and that's why McD was fired from Denver for drafting TT. And that's also why the best spread QB in college history is now playing baseball instead of even being a backup in the genius NFL.

Why is TT not in the NFL today? Because he made a crucial mistake when he first got there. He said that he would USE the NFL as his platform for other (better) things. (he should have waited to say that until he was well entrenched with a team)
And everyone knows that it's the billionaire owners that USE people. They refuse to allow anyone to USE them for anything, and thus they have black-balled TT. Too bad for those of us that used to enjoy watching NFL football... :(

Note: Before anyone starts on TT, just remember that 1,700+ of his fellow NFL players VOTED him to THEIR Top 100 Players of the Year list.... o_O (and they should know)

I feel bad for Brissett tonight having to make his first NFL start as a rookie against that pass rush. He better hope Gronk can play or it might be a long night for sure.

He can't throw and can't run the offense. The RO doesn't work in the NFL, unless you are Cam Newton and can take an ungodly beating.

The Pats only care about winning. Brissett made their 53-man roster and Tebow didn't.

He is playing very well thus far.

He can really throw it. And he can move pretty good. The game plan is genius. Belicheck has the balls to actually ask him to make plays and the creativity to put him in position to make plays. Every other coach in the league would be handing off 90 percent of the time, throwing the occasional bubble screen and trying to win the game 6-3.

This performance shows how incompetent muschump was, and at the same time how the belichek system has elevated Brady from an average qb to a hall of famer.

Brady throws down field. Brissett was tasked with short passes and designed runs. Belichick set him up to succeed.

No doubt Brady benefitted hugely from Belicheck. But I give Brady a lot of credit too. He absolutely shredded a great Seahawks d to come back in the second half of that last Super Bowl. Coaching can only take you so far. You still have to make those reads and throws. He probably would have been just a guy for any other franchise though, due largely to the fact that he probably wouldn't have gotten the opportunity. What other coach is benching the franchise quarterback like Belicheck did to Bledsoe for a second year sixth round pick?

Bill is the best coach on the planet in the sport, no surprise at all... No matter who they put out there they have success, he's the best at everything especially as a game day coach. The people that think Saban is even close to him because he wins with NFL teams against college teams is hilarious, Saban is so overrated as a Gameday coach they would have you believe he is God and the best coach in all of football.. Not even close, Belicheck is the best there is and one of the best of all time when it's all said and done. He's won the same and rings through all of the changes of the game and eras in the toughest level and league to do it.

He just has that team's shit together. They were alternating between up tempo in some short yardage situations to using all the clock late in the first and in the second half. They don't jump off sides or get formation penalties. Their punts and kicks are dropping on the 10 yard line all night, and he confused the hell out of their $17m quarterback while scoring points with his third stronger by running the triple option and end arounds. Everybody blocks. Edelman is 5'8 and pancaked their safety. Good stuff.
