Damn time at least 20 of these supposed bowl games go away. Everyone, from the sponsors on down have to be losing money. Unless it is a tax write off for all involved. Look at the pic of heart of dallas bowl in the cotton bowl. The nets have to be loosing money. Have a friend in sales and he said their rate cards for 30 seconds is worse than pmsnbc and that is between 5 to 8.5 k.

While I agree that there may be too many bowl games why should we care? Nobody is making us watch them? It is a "reward" that a lot of the players enjoy participating in, what's wrong with that? if a bowl game is not "making money" then they don't have to continue...I don't see the angst here?

I admit I do miss the days when the Cotton Bowl kicked off on Jan 1 at like 11:00 est and it was game after game all day and night. Agree with Paco though. If the matchup sucks just move on. Rewarding for kids and fans. Not my money.

Northjersey. My brother corched in pensacola and fort walton. He was an asst at washington and at fort walton when Wuerfell was there. If that helps.

Mets. Was in Gainesville. My parents came from pensacola to see fort walton beat st thomas aquinas for title. Sat in new north end zone. After game, i asked my brother who is that kid tossing balls in the corner of end zone. He said it was uf's next qb.
