In his own words -- Winston lied

lul, bleacher report
Winston is big and black that means he is just like Jamarcus.

Funny, did they say that? I could have sworn it was about being immature, similar body builds, and coming from the same system with Jimbo (who so far has an awful track record with QBs).

Then they mentioned how he has less arm strength and little mobility.

But maybe I read it wrong and he's just "big and black lulz"

Awful track record? Like Spurrier, Urban, whoever coaches Oregon. Name one good NFL QB those gurus have produced Like I said bleacher report, lulz.

Jamarcus was basically retarded. Dude scored an 8 on the wonderlic. They aren't the same besides the most obvious one.

well one of your boys above said everybody knew Wonston got hooked up.
So either Jimbo lied or he is stupid.
Just trying to find out which.

Who's to say Jimbo didn't go back to office & think Winston is lying?

Imo Winston lied to Jimbo & that's what Jimbo went to the press with. No coach in the nation, not your coach my coach is going to sit at that press conference & say....Ummmm Winston told me he forgot to pay, but I honestly think he's lying & got a 5 finger discount by an employee.

I am not the HC & I don't have 20 cameras in my face so I can think & say whatever.

No fisher came public with a statement. Wasn't asked a question.
Big difference.
What you do if you know the kid is lying you say nothing.
Not go into a long detailed discussion about autographs and fans and rain and how he shopped at Winn Dixie etc.
You only do that if you are doing damage control to keep your star from getting benched.
I bet he wouldn't have done all that for some scrub.

He has to say something.

He's the returning heisman winner and the QB of the defending national champs. The coach is going to have to say something in a statement, if not a statement then questions would have been asked.

No way, he could have said they are investigating the issue, punishment will be handled as we see appropriate, end of story...then they see the suspension of whatever, and case closed. ...but instead he goes out of his way to tell a tale that he doesn't even believe....get over yourselves noles...

how much investigating can u do?

There's video with no audio. I don't know what was said between Winston and the employee or if there was anything said.

Finally. Someone said it.

Lol that's your argument? So you admit that successful systems that are college oriented don't tend to create decent NFL QBs?

Cool. Glad we're on the same page. So tell me how the assertion about Winston was incorrect.

Bet you can't. Because you suck at this game.

No, not really. Being a successful NFL QB has more to do with the individual, their work ethic, their ability to grasp offensive concepts of their team and their physical abilities. Winston has all of those. Fisher runs a pro system, btw.

If we beat Jameis on the field every time, we would still say the same things though.

LOL. Yea, no. Fisher nor any college coach runs a pro system, no matter how many times it gets repeated on TV. FSU's route combo's are actually very basic. Which isn't a shot at Fisher BTW, they all are in college.

What will gator/buc fans do when Winston throws a TD? Pout? Silently protest? Immolate themselves in front of the stadium?

I'll be happy. I root for the Bucs. All I'm saying is, been down this road before. Big, strong, Heisman winning QB. Does the name Testaverde ring a bell?

I think the chances are in favor of him being average to less than average in the NFL simply based off of the fact that there are so many bad QB's in the league already. Very seldom does a Brady, Manning, Luck, etc. come along and light it up out of the gate. The league is full of Matt Schaub's. I'm not worried about Jameis' off field issues. I think he will surround himself with good people. I am also not worried about him not gaining respect from his team. All indications are he was well respected on the team at FSU. I am worried about him trying to do too much on the field as he will probably be the guy day 1. On a team like Tampa that is a recipe for disaster as evidenced by the fumble gif at the top of the page.
