Every time this happens, I ask myself what is the answer? And the answer to me is that there is no answer. I am convinced that this is not a solvable problem and mass shootings will never be solved. This is earth, and there is evil on earth. That won't change.

Well, logically:
The poster was saying people were claiming guns were the major cause of death for 'children'. The poster said that wasn't true if you remove the 18-19 year old data.
That logically leads to guns being the major cause of death for those 18-19. I KNOW you guys don't want to admit that so I brought it up.
That was actually my entire point.

The biggest gun abusers are the 18-19 year old class in gang and thug violence crime. Remove that demographic and gun deaths for children disappears completely off the map. Hmmmm.............
18-19 year olds may be retarded, but that's the target age group for military recruitment. They are NOT children, and almost all of the gun deaths are by skreet soldiers of that age range and most of that is handgun action by certain demographics.
You mean why are you hearing more about gun violence in the US....while living in the US?
But gun deaths by any demographic count toward the total.
Also, it's possible that the original target of the discussion actually said 'children and adolescents' which, by some accounts, range 10-19.
