I really don't understand the hype about Mullen

I think Mullen has a good offensive mind to be honest. Not sure about him as a head coach

The guy with 8 years of experience battling in the best division in the nation with inferior funding, facilities and talent base, and being the most successful coach in that program's HISTORY, then takes a 4 win team to a 10 win season in his first year at his new school, that guy you aren't sure about, but the numbnuts with 2 years under his belt who has proven nothing other than he is a choking dawg in big games, that guy you have no trouble with?

I don't know if anyone has ever literally died laughing, but damn, you guys are making me concerned I might be the first.

Coach dan should have done better at msu. I mean he had years to atleast get a winning sec record there right?

The difference is, Kirby always relied on a safety net when it involved recruiting. No way Kirby would have done squat at Duke, Mississippi State or at South Carolina.
Hell, how about you guys consider Mike Bobo when the Kirby hype dries out? Bobo would have accomplished the same feat at Georgia.

We already know georgia is a great place to win the point wasnt kirby doing as expected it was mulling is no spurrier, so you should not expect those results. The ole ball coach would have won at msu.

With 3 National Championships at Florida, Florida has been proven a great place to win as well. Mullen is no Spurrier nor is he Meyer.
Spurrier would have won at MSU, but he would never had won a title there the same way he didn't win a title at South Carolina.

Funny how you Georgia fans never came over here during the Muschamp and McElwain era to trash these guys.

When the Kirby hype dries out, look for Mike Bobo.

Spurrier won at DUKE!!!! Think about that for a moment.....

Are you really comparing the ACC in 1989 to the SEC West? The same SEC West that has had 8 national title teams since 1990? You guys are the kings of making useless comparisons. Spurrier wouldn’t have won shit at MSU, just like he didn’t win shit at South Carolina relatively speaking. Spurrier took South Carolina to new highs and that got him exactly ONE division crown and no conference titles in the SEC East while it was a dumpster fire yet I’m supposed to believe he’d have been racking up conference titles at MSU in the West? Please.

It’s funny they never had anything to say about muschamp or mcelwain. You’d think they’d want to be over here making the same kind of statements about wanting to keep the two worst coaches we’ve ever had. Instead, we win 10 games and suddenly they can’t stop telling us how much he sucks and how they have this insurmountable 2 game dynasty. The lady doth protest too much, methinks

If you point out spurriers lack of success at South Carolina while the east was a dumpster fire, that reflects on the fact that maybe winning it doesn’t make smart the greatest coach in history... after all, if spurrier, a guy who absolutely owned them for 20+ years, couldn’t make South Carolina a power, then maybe winning the sec east when it’s down doesn’t make them a power either... and maybe winning two games in a row over a rival isn’t quite the domination that they want to believe, since spurrier absolutely did have that kind of dynasty over them. Hmmmm...

So, if SOS had gone from Duke to MsSt, he would have done as well as he did in the 90's at UF,,, is that your idiot-dawg claim??? ---

In 2009, Dan took over a MsSt team that had just gone 4-8, he went 5-7, then 9-4

In 1990, Steve took over a UF team that has just gone 7-5, he went 9-2, then 10-2

In 2005, Steve took over a SCa team that had just gone 6-5, he went 7-5, then 8-5

In 2018 Dan took over a UF team that had just gone 4-7, he went 10-3, then ???.

Best I can tell, without all of the many mitigating factors and differences being considered, it looks like Dan might have actually done a little bit better than Steve, but I'd take either over 4th&Dumb.
=====

In 2016, 4th&Dumb took over an UGly team that had just gone 10-3, he went 8-5, then 13-2

In 2017 he beat a crappy 10-4 AU team for the SEC-C, then a 12-2 always over-rated choker-la-homo team, before gagging on the big one to UA. o_O

And going down-hill, he didn't even make the 4 team CFP in 2018, plus lost to #15 10-4 Texass in the SEC/Sugar Bowl...

Steve took over two crap programs and brought them glory. Dan won an egg bowl!

Spurrier won at DUKE!!!! Think about that for a moment.....

Let's go to the numbers!

Spurrier was 20-13-1 at Duke, a 60.6 winning pct
Mullen was 69-44 at MSU, a 61.1 winning pct

I should also point out that he won at Duke in the ACC BEFORE FSU got there, and the ACC was a FAR cry from the SEC West.

Sooooo, it looks like Dan the Man stacks up pretty well against the HBC.

And, just to put this in perspective, Spurrier is a better coach than you will ever hope to have.

Spurrier won hardware not eggs.

Spurs DID win 11 games twice at USC-E, so I wouldn't say he had a total lack of success.

Kirby has an sec title! Multiple division crowns and a rosebowl in 3 short years. What's mullen got?

As long as we're making nonsensical comparisons that appeal to shit posters...

Spurrier won 9 games his first season at Florida.

Mullen won 10 games his first season at Florida.

I would call it 9 each, because UF was ineligible for a bowl game that first year.

What did Coach Shart have after one year in Athens?
Hey look, no one told dan to go be head coach at msu. He had a good thing going. He should have waited for a great opportunity. Heck kirby had enough smarts to wait and learn from the best until he could capitalize and make his name.

Oooh! 1 SEC title in 3 years with talent Kirby recruited and inherited from Richt. He also inherited a 10-3 team by making them 8-5?

Point is in 3 short years he has acquired much more than Dan with his many years as a coach.

I've never been to UGA's board...it's hilarious...why do you guys feel the need to come here and tell us how amazing everything in Athens is and how horrible things are in Gainesville?
Never been ? Man you gotta check it out. It's awesome I go on to see all the recruits we get. It's like xmas

Christmas during the offseason and in the summer? Woo hoo? Too bad your last Christmas was when Herschel Walker won you a title. Woo hoo! January of 1981! Woo hoo!

The word rhetorical must be above the Dawgie pay grade.
