Serious question - Is Miami a potential playoff team? They have to be a top three ACC team heading into the season. Their over under is 9.5. They only play one team ranked in the preseason top 25. The season is set up for them to have an FSU (last year) type of season. Could they lose to us and then run the table?

Phil Steele has their OL ranked #8 in the country, they signed Damian Martinez at RB who is very good (freshman all-american 2022 and 1st team all pac-12 2023). They signed Sam Brown 6.'2" at WR to go along with Restrepo and Horton 6'5" and they get back TE Arroyo. Most objective people think Cam Ward is very good and will play at the next level. They have a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball.

Their DL and LBs are top 15 units in the country according to Phil Steele. They have question marks in the secondary.

On paper they are the best team we'll play outside of UGA and UT. I'd say they are on par with Ole'MIss. Between recruiting and the portal they are very talented.

If we can beat them, we are going to be a very good team. I kinda think they are legit. What an opener - the atmosphere in the 1st Q will be so electric.
