Houston Hello...

Things to consider in Conf. Strengths, SoS's, media-moron rankings, etc....o_O

2015 CFP - 4 Teams:
1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. MichiganSt
4. Oklahoma
(a total travesty imo, Stanford deserved it way more)
==========
==========

Using my 8 Team Method for a Playoff it would be:
The Power 5 Conference Champs

ACC - 8-0, 13-0 #1 Clemson - #25 SoS

SEC - 8-1, 12-1 #2 Alabama - #4 SoS

Big Ten/12 - 7-1, 12-1 #3 MichSt - #9 SoS

PAC 12 - 8-1, 11-2 #6 Stanford - #37 SoS

Big 12/10 - 8-1, 11-1 #4 Okla - #88 SoS -- Joke

Plus the next 3 Highest Ranked (Playoff and AP ranking) regardless of tier:
5-6 Stanford 8-1, 11-2 - #37 SoS
6-5 Iowa 7-1, 12-1 - #100 SoS
7 tOSU 7-1, 12-1 - #42 SoS
8 ND 10-2 (overrated jokes) - #61 SoS
(media-moron rankings usually suck & ignore SoS's)

Non-P5's Left out of the 2015 8 team Playoffs:
18. Houston 12-1 - #110 SoS
21. Navy 9-2 - #119 SoS
24. Temple 10-3 - #104 SoS
25. WKy 11-2 - #101 SoS
But Okla got in the 4 team playoff with the #88 SoS and no Conf Championship game, and they LOST to 5-7, 4-5 Texas!

ESPN Power Rankings, UF (6) Opponents:
2. UA
5. Miss
10. FSU
11. Tenn
13. LSU
19. UGA
(other SEC's in Top 25 - 22. MsSt, 23 aTm, 24. UF)
So 9 of the SEC's 14 teams were in the Top 25 in ESPN Power Ranking.

Any comments? Several areas to choose from...

The pac 12 had like 5 defenses ranked like 89th or worse in rush defense, Stanford faced every one of them.

I like the bowl match ups for the most part. You finally get to see different conferences playing each other. Plus, like some have already said it's better to soak up the football because it's coming to an end soon.

I find it amusing that the general consensus over here
is that FSU is a pretty lousy football team. But seems to be looked at favorably when used to demonstrate the

Agree 100%. One of my favorite bowl games was FSU -vs- UCLA in the Emerald Nuts bowl. I really enjoy seeing variety like that. I even enjoyed seeing them play Kentucky. The final score sucked though.

I see how you said Oklahoma was a joke, yet their win against Tennessee was just as impressive, if not more, than Florida's. So would you consider Florida a joke as well? After all, they are the SEC East champions, but only come in ranked 24 in the power poll and 9th in the league and behind UGA and Tennessee, whom they beat.

It also seems like your ranking of Notre Dame's schedule is the lowest one available. Sagarin has their schedule at 19 and 6th toughest of the top 25 teams. 3 other sites have them no lower than top 20 SOS and as high as top 10. Hmmmmm, seems like you have an ax to grind against them. Just a few of the areas I found interesting, that you posted about.

I can see 8 team playoff...5 big conf champs, highest ranked champ from the other leagues, and two at large bids.

I found nothing interesting in your usual BS, but I'll answer anyway. o_O

Okla's #88 SoS makes them a JOKE for being in the Playoffs. I wouldn't put any team with an NCAA Rated SoS (not mine or the media-morons) below 60 in the Playoffs, but that's just me.

And you are neglecting to consider that Okla has had a stable coaching staff for years, while UF was in transition with a new coaching staff and a new starting rsFr QB. The Chokers were ranked, while UF was not.
Plus UF is an SECe hated rival for tennis-sea. So NO, they are not the same wins at all....
===========
ND, as usual, plays at least half of their schedule against LOSER teams.
Texas 4-5, 5-7 (and the horns still beat over-rated choke-la-homa)
VA 3-5, 4-8 -- Won by a single TD
GaTech 1-7, 3-9 -- Won by 8 pts
U-Mass 2-6, 3-9
WF 1-7, 3-9
BC 0-8, 3-9 -- ND only won by a FG (19-16) at home.

So not just LOSER opponents, but 4 of their opponents had only 3 wins.
The neutered lame only went 4-2 against the 6 teams with at least a winning record.

Plus they duck
(chickenchit) out of ever having to play a Conference Championship game.
They beat mighty Temple by 4 freakin' pts...

Oh BTW, it's now 11-0 with yet another azz-kickin' coming to you in the Fall.

  • Would they have ND have been more impressive with an overtime win at home against Florida Atlantic, with the refs swallowing their whistles on 2 PI calls (which the SEC has a history of doing for the Gators)?
  • Or struggling to beat Vandy and South Carolina?
  • If Florida Atlantic could whip Florida for 4+ quarters and had to beat the refs also, pretty sure Temple could win that game, with the Chuck Bednarik winner leading their defense. Pretty sure Temple is a top 25 team.
BC and Notre Dame have a traditional rivalry, so using your Tennessee/ Florida argument, that game should have been expected to be close. BC finished the year with the #1 ranked defense, also. Held FSU to 14 points. The Gators mighty defense gave up 27 to FSU. So that kind of deflates some of your argument. Florida only scored 2 more points that BC did as well.

Wasn't that the Georgia Tech team that beat down Miss State in their bowl last year? Texas also had more top 15 wins than Florida did, as well. But please, continue on.

Tennessee will continue to roll. Playing either a true freshman qb or Treon Harris should work out well for them next season.

Mighty history & tradition rich tennis-sea has an all time losing record to no-body UF, including being on an 0-11 losing streak to the Gators right now. So I'm hoping that they do continue to roll....
(roll over and play dead that is) :D

You don't address my points, you instead attempt to twist the facts and/or change the debate with your usual BS. BTW, the neutered lames last 'media-moron' GIVEN mNC was way back in 1988.
Their only 'media-moron' GIVEN opportunity for a BCS-NC ended badly - UA/SEC 42 - 14, and it wasn't even that close (35-0 at halftime). That's what their annual 'cakewalk' prepares them for. o_O

The neutered lame didn't even have the sac to actually join the ACC and have an opportunity to play for a conference championship, such as it is. They are just 'sponging' off of them like the D1 parasites that they have always been. o_O -- Greed based BTT hypocrites imo... (see Lizzy)

Tennesse will continue to roll??? What?? You mean rollover dead like they have been for over a decade. You can't be taken seriously anymore.

UF already beat Tennessee with a true freshmen QB in Knoxvile. His name was Treon Harris. LOL.

What's the UF winning streak at now over UT?

It must be selective amnesia, the way the Dollies ignore the fact that Treon Harris has already beaten them in their house.

Oklahoma was playing really good football to end the season. Not debating if they deserve to be #4 or not but I would not be surprised if they won it all. Kind of hoping they do actually.

ND vs BC game was at Fenway if I'm not mistaken?

Man, sadgator just got a look at the bowl match ups. Wow. What a sorry, sad, and shameful line up of games. Probably the worst sadgator has ever seen.

Outside of the playoff games, and even those kinda suck, there just isn't like even one game that interests sadgator. Take our good buddy kemosabes...Houston?!?!?...really? Like who in the world would take time outta their day to watch that? And it's at noon no less! These games are like less interesting than week one match ups.

sadgator is more convinced now than ever that we just need to take this bitch to 16 and sh!tcan the rest of the "post season." It is a total waste.
