Man, sadgator just got a look at the bowl match ups. Wow. What a sorry, sad, and shameful line up of games. Probably the worst sadgator has ever seen.

Outside of the playoff games, and even those kinda suck, there just isn't like even one game that interests sadgator. Take our good buddy kemosabes...Houston?!?!?...really? Like who in the world would take time outta their day to watch that? And it's at noon no less! These games are like less interesting than week one match ups.

sadgator is more convinced now than ever that we just need to take this bitch to 16 and sh!tcan the rest of the "post season." It is a total waste.

I was contemplating going to the Miami Beach bowl, since I'm down the street from it but then I realized the game is on Monday at 2:30pm. Who the hell is going to that game? I doubt too many USF and WKU fans are driving down for it either.

Man I will watch the hell out of Houston game any day available. They play with am offense that rivals that of a Big 12 team buy they also pack a punch on defense.

Didn't the BYU\Memphis game have a good crowd last year? Was a great game. Even had some good entertainment after the game.

Outside of the playoff games they have virtually made the bowl games meaningless. There's too many bowl games as it is.

Even the sponsors are ridiculous. The "Popeyes" Bahamas Bowl? What in the world?

And what does Buffalo Wild Wings have to do with the Citrus Bowl?

The entire bowl "season" is just one big absurdity of crappy sponsorship tie ins.

The best sport in the world with the crappiest and most unsatifying ending every single freakin' year.

No doubt. Could easily cut out a quarter to a third of the Bowls.

A. Its a great reward for players, coaches and staffs, don't think its going away.

B. Houston has the next big name coach in Tom Herman, a Meyer understudy. He is justing waiting a year for Charlie to get canned

I'll watch a handful of bowl games. I'd have preferred they play Iowa over Houston but it's still football......

A friend of mine does one of those office pools for Bowl season...at least it gives you a (small) reason to care/watch the games.

Meh. Will never complain about having too much football to watch. I'd be cool with doing away with some of the bowl games though if they went that route. But I'm also cool with the way it is. What else you gonna watch, the NFL? That may be the worst product in sports.

Don't you mean NHL?? The NFL is awesome.

The NFL is too difficult for me to watch, any league of football where defense is not allowed is tough for me.

Great reward for players. We received awesome gifts. Fans that travel get great access to the players also. Partly why a lot of agent inappropriate contact occurs during bowl season.

So..the Houston game. It's a lose-lose for FSU.

If FSU blows out Houston - That's what we expected to happen. After all they're not a P5 school. These uneven match-ups need to stop. ~media

If it's a close game - We expect more of from a P5 school. ~media

If Houston blows out FSU - Wow! Amazing! Houston is the bestest ever. FSU sucks, blah, blah, blah ~media

It's funny when people are offended that there are too many bowl games. Like going to a bar and complaining they have too many beers.
It's true. You don't have to watch if you don't like, and sadgator won't watch many, but sadgator is just bummed because it doesn't need to be this way. We are conditioned to accept this reality, but there are so many things they could do to improve the ending to our sport.

And you can poo poo expansion of the playoffs all you want (sadgator places hand over balls), but it is going to happen. And when it does, it will be the greatest, most logical, and exciting thing you have ever seen. We will look back at the time before playoffs as a primitive and archaic system and wonder why it took so long to change.

I'm going to the TCU/Oregon game on 1/2. Looking forward to that actually. Noon eastern for Peach just means I start drinking sooner that day and I won't leave the neighborhood.

If you ever mention a 16 team play off again Sad, I will punch you in the balls with a bottle of whiskey.

I feel like people don't acknowledge that the conference title games serve as one round in a playoff. So we're really already at 8 teams. The conference title games get it down to 4. If you look at it that way there's no need to expand it beyond the 4 right now. It's actually already at 8 in reality.

This was true of only the BIG10 and ACC (and to some extent PAC12...USC had zero chance) this year, but essentially you are correct. Which is why the BIG12 needs a championship game.

I don't think they need one because they play a round robin format. The only reason's there's a conference championship game in the other conferences is because all the teams don't play each other. So they have to pick the winners of each division and have them play each other to determine a true champion. If all the teams play each other it's not necessary. Not to mention, because of their setup, they usually play one less cupcake game than other conferences, but people always leave that fact out of the argument.

unless you're a BIG12 fan. They do tout the fact they all play one another. Essentially every single team is guaranteed to play 9 P5 teams each season.

Right, as opposed to the 8 most teams play. I got no problem with the Big 12's format.

Soak up all the college football you can over the next month. The long dry spell until the start of next season is nearly upon us. The college football addicts on this board will soon have to focus on national signing day and spring football.

Round Robin means ALL Big10 schools play one less cupcake. But it also means the two top team vying for the conference title plays one fewer tough game

sad, those wings go great with a screwdriver or a margarita.... :D

And I've never bothered to watch them all,,, just the one's that I'm interested in, so the 'how many' question has never come into it. o_O

* Sad, I advocated an 8 game Playoff in 1999. The P-5 Conference Champs plus the next 3 highest ranked D-1 Teams regardless of tier, so it's taken them long enough...
Four is not enough some years and 16 is too many in any year,,, imo.
