Home and home with the Golden Domers

I guess you were listening to Greenberg this week when he was taking about kids and the super bowl.

Yes, but football is our common language today. Just look at this board. We fight like cats in a sack over most topics, but can talk football all day. Sports in general, but mostly football, is our "Neutral zone". I was never much interested in football as a kid, but when I went to UF that changed. And now, having been in the workforce for more years than I care to admit, football is a great icebreaker and "watercooler" talking point. And to talk about it you have to understand it, and to understand it you have to watch it, and read about it, and generally keep abreast of it. People entering the workforce quickly learn that, if they want to chitchat with the boss, they need to know football, and start watching football. Even women these days are up to speed on football. So, I'm not worried about the teenagers, who are normally only interested if they are players. Tell me the thirty somethings are uninterested, then I'll worry.

You guys have been using that walk on excuse for a long time huh

The Gator injuries continued to mount as well. Inside linebackers Carlton Miles suffered a back injury in the second quarter and couldn’t return. Third-stringers Kevin Freeman and Greg Diamond filled in. Until this game Diamond had played strictly on special teams.

We had third teamers playing inside linebacker trying to tackle Jerome Bettis. Why would the reasons change? I don't think the 1992 Sugar Bowl changed.

Agreed. Now that I live in New Orleans, I pay a good bit of attention to what the Saints and Pelicans are doing.
