I guess you were listening to Greenberg this week when he was taking about kids and the super bowl.
Yes, but football is our common language today. Just look at this board. We fight like cats in a sack over most topics, but can talk football all day. Sports in general, but mostly football, is our "Neutral zone". I was never much interested in football as a kid, but when I went to UF that changed. And now, having been in the workforce for more years than I care to admit, football is a great icebreaker and "watercooler" talking point. And to talk about it you have to understand it, and to understand it you have to watch it, and read about it, and generally keep abreast of it. People entering the workforce quickly learn that, if they want to chitchat with the boss, they need to know football, and start watching football. Even women these days are up to speed on football. So, I'm not worried about the teenagers, who are normally only interested if they are players. Tell me the thirty somethings are uninterested, then I'll worry.
