I know some use it properly but some try to insult people by announcing that they're putting them on ignore.
Unlike @kalimgoodman, mine actually works.
The reality is the mods here are having to do two things at once;
1 - Set and enforce rules
2 - Adjust rules based on member feedback
It just so happens that certain posters continue to break the rules. And those certain posters are almost always on the left side of the isle.
So if the mods enforce the rules, that means that an under-represented viewpoint will be further silenced.
If the mods DON'T enforce the rules, it allows trolls to exploit the leniency and further degrade the quality of the interactions here.
The optimal solution would be for all members to act like adults, follow the rules and stop trolling. But as we see every day here, that's an issue for some.
I can't think of any.
I also can't think of any regulars on the right who have been repeatedly told to stop breaking the rules, and they continued till it reached a point where the mods were forced to ban them.
Are you implying that the mods should ban a regular poster on the right to make up for a rule-breaking regular poster on the left being banned?

We do not see eye to eye politically...and that is A OK. But we can be civil. AND YES..we can say GO GATORS together! LOL On that subject we agree 100%!

AND, there have been a few "conservative", "right leaning", "republican", etc. who have also been banned for breaking the rules. Not 100% sure wherein evil resided, but was definitely NOT a DEM.
