An accused jilted madman who flew into an ax-wielding rage at a Lower East Side McDonald’s was released without bail at his arraignment, authorities said Sunday.
Michael Palacios, 31, who allegedly grabbed an ax and trashed the Delancey Street fast-food joint early Friday, was arraigned on fourth-degree criminal mischief and possession-of-weapons charges hours later and freed, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said.
Neither charge is eligible for bail under the state’s lenient criminal justice reforms.
Unlike Calif, that does have a recall law and SF did recall their lunatic DA, New York State does not have a recall law and the only person who can fire the DA is the governor. I would like to put that video in front of the NY governor and ask her why that man deserves to be walking free with no bail. How can anyone with a working brain think that that man is not a danger to society. I'd love to hear her answer.

Not an expert on NY law (haha, wouldn't want to be) but I have no idea how the damage he caused could be considered Criminal Mischief 4th.
My best guess is that means less than $500 in damages but more than $250. I'd be shocked if that was less than $500.
