Modern liberalism is about creating a problem, then providing the solution.

Look at the other thread. @kalimgoodman is enamored with DEI. He thinks it's amazing. DEI is a classic example of creating a problem then providing the solution.

DEI addresses the problem of companies hiring based on merit and not on identity.

But....that's not a problem. Hiring is supposed to be done on merit. Identity should have nothing to do with it.

So liberals introduce the problem: Your hiring isn't diverse and inclusive enough.

What's the solution? DEI training!

End result? Companies only hire people who have the identity that liberals approve of.

That hurts the company, it hurts the workers, it hurts the customer.

But liberals believe it serves their politics, so they love it.

I think we need to differentiate between current radical liberalism and classic liberalism. Classic liberals of the 50s and 60s would be centrists or slightly right-of-center today. I believe not all of today's liberals are radical liberals, but most are, in my opinion. Moreover, I believe today's brand of liberalism is a child of mental disorder.

I could not agree with you more.

Those democrats are gone. Those democrats are now republicans.

Agree with both points.

Oh, I thought you were going to say: YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND, NO ONE CAN.
