What's weird is our o line has been trash for a long time and now the only thing we can get is o line lol I don't get it.
Could be, it's also Alex Atkins imo, he's the only coach we have who is an above avg recruiter. Lucas Simmons I think it's going to committ to us in a week or 2. He's just as good if not a better prospect than Kearney.
I do think NIL will take a couple of years to get to an equalibrium - some way over paying while other teams not paying enough. Hopefully Napier gets enough to still have a job by then lol
Unless you have the last class A&M budget for NIL you also need to make sure it's spread out some to the different positions. Paying a real crazy amount to an unproven QB recruit is not the best use of the money imo.
You'll also ONLY be able to really see who was using smart money, who over spent etc. 3-4 years in review. I'm hoping for the best and still think we're a little behind the curve to start NIL out. That said, 3-4 years from now maybe that's the prudent model to have followed - we'll see how the 23' class comes together.
Mitchell's dad said something (I think the other inwas remembering was from last yr, my bad on that), did you the quotes from Rashadas attorney on UF NIL on twitter? I don't know how to link the actual quotes but he said something like it's the most dysfunctional NIL he has had to deal with and he's steering all his clients to away. Is there truth to that or do you think he's just trashing the Gators on the way out? Does anyone know how they do it?

UF has money and a good NIL. Caspino is FOS. The figures he is stating aren’t even close to accurate. UFs NIL is not in the range of the programs that I mentioned earlier but it is still good. The issue at UF right now is culture and leadership are poor in the UAA. The Gator Collective has money and could use some help in “negotiating” etc but not sure what Caspino is talking about.
Heitner has come out and said this is all BS and the Gator Collective has responded.

You know my position after all these years. Your 1st paragraph is what is disappointing. This entire operation appears unprepared for the realities of NIL. They had almost 2 years to get ready and they have pooped the bed.
SS and Foley will turn UF football into what UF BB has become.... fans will become apathetic when we continue to consistently fall behind UGA rarely compete for the SEC and have another coaching turnover.
As a fanbase UF fans brag about the LOGO, our we arent poor. The image of UF prowess in CFB just got shoved in a locker by a school with an avg home attendance of 10k, shitty football facilities and no conference championships in 20 years....
And now we have to rely on a coach who has yet to prove he can beat Utah in The Swamp.
Many folks hoped that with the coming 3-5 loss season . . . This staff would be able to recruit its way out of the hole UF is in(with the help of NIL). WELP... here we are. Part 2 isnt happening and part 1 is coming.... where does that leave UF fans? With a whole lot of hope thats it.

Multiple sources told On3 Rashada agreed to a NIL deal with Miami mega-booster John Ruiz for $9.5 million.The same sources said Rashada turned down an offer from Florida’s Gator Collective for $11 million.
Jaden Rashada has openly talked about his fondness for the Miami coaches and the chance to make a big impact in Coral Gables.

Rashada is smarter than you think. Take the $9.5 million, go to UM , play immediately, walk away in three years when Cristobol is canned.
Not sure what the real number is but Miami offered more and we damn sure didn't offer 11 million. That is just laughable.
Numbers are a joke and laughable. Not even half of that number was offered. More in the $4-5M range which I still think is ridiculous for a high school kid but whatever.

The only good point I can find is that now, IF AR15 has a breakout season, Gators MAY be able to pay him enough of an NIL windfall to keep him around for his Sr year.

How many SEC or national championships have non-top 10 class recruiting service ranked teams got since that has been tracked and ranked like that? Just a few right about that 10 mark out of the last 18 or so years? Most were near the top of those recruiting rankings.
I just eyeballed those SEC and National championship winners and the only 3 out of the last 18 years that I think would be even around the # 10 area and not around the # 6 or better area were 2010 and 2013 Auburn and that 2016 Clemson team.
I'm seen 3-stars that committed to Bama suddenly go to 4-stars.
I've also seen 4-stars that committed to UF then drop down to 3-stars.
I've seen recruiting services vary widely compared to each other on individual recruits.
Worry about how the UF coaches and players do on the field, and leave the stars to those that give them.

That does happen but a lot of times its usually due to them being pursued by other top schools also and excelling at camps etc.
Unless things suddenly change not being a top 10 area or better recruiting school pretty much makes it crazy hard to win an SEC or national championship. Heck even if you are at the bottom of the top 10 the results seem to say its not happening unless you have a really good college QB and 2 dominant DT's.
If winning championships is your only criteria, then you need to be a Pro fan and leave armature sports behind....

"Worth" in your context is a judgement call. Who are you, or any of us, to judge? If UM thinks he's worth it, he's worth it. It's their money, after all.
"Worth" in the market sense is "what the market will bear". This is also known as the "biggest idiot" theory. Normally used with collectibles, this is the idea that an item is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. The key is to find the entity willing to give you the best deal.
