Friday night, the #1 UF Gymnastics team beat #2 LSU in Baton Rouge 198'150 - 198.050. I watched in on the SEC Network and it was exciting to watch these athletes compete and have fun doing it. Both teams were excellent. Read all about it: https://floridagators.com/news/2021/2/12/gymnastics-no-1-gators-win-at-no-2-lsu.aspx

Then Saturday at 11:30 on the ACC+ Network, I watched the #8 UF Lacrosse team open their season with a 14-7 win at Louisville. Amanda O'Leary has built a consistent winner and they play an exciting brand of lacrosse as well. https://floridagators.com/news/2021/2/13/lacrosse-gators-topple-cardinals-in-season-opener.aspx

Then this evening, #6 Gator softball opened their season by sweeping a doubleheader at USF, 6-3 and 15-0 in a 5 inning run rule game. The Gators are loaded this year and if their pitching steps up they will challenge for an SEC and an NCAA title. Gator pitchers only gave up 4 hits in Game 1 and 1 hit in Game 2, with Katie Chronister and Elizabeth Hightower getting the wins. Charla Echols had 6 hits and 6 RBI's in the 2 games, Hannah Adams had 4 hits and Cheyenne Lindsay 3 hits. Echols and Lindsay each hit a home run. They play again Sunday at 1 pm.
